How long from mortgage offer to completion

Hello everyone , I have just received a mortgage offer after a long time of waiting thank god! I was just wondering how long it can be from now till completion . I’m buying a new build which is ready to go in to now , and they think we could complete in the next 5 days maybe this Friday ! My buyers are first time buyers and have everything ready as well on there side . So just from experience , what does everyone think the quickest I could get completed in ? Thanks !

If all the conveyancing is done and all you were waiting for was your mortgage offer, then a few days?

Your conveyancer will be the best person to answer this question as they'll need to confirm that all the work is complete and you're ready to request funds.

Yes all the conveyancing and searches etc is done . Literally just a matter of exchange and complete , so hopefully Friday might be a possibility then ?

What does that mean if you don’t mind me asking

When a newbuild is finished and the NHBC cover note (or similar) is issued, the builder will ask its solicitor to serve ten days notice to complete on your solicitor.

If it's already complete then that might not be relevant (assuming the OP hasn't already exchanged). You just agree a completion date.

Do you think it could be possible Friday to complete then?

Possible, yes. Whether it will suit everybody else, you won't know until they've been asked.

I don't think 5 days is unreasonable tbh. If all ducks are in a row and you've all signed your contracts, then it's literally a matter of agreeing a date and then drawing the funds down from the mortgage lenders.

I'm still waiting for our buyers buyer to resolve a query with their mortgage lender but as soon as that's resolved I will be pushing for completion at the earliest opportunity as our sale has dragged on for 19 weeks already and there's only 2 sales in the chain.
