Starting process now for remortgage for December with Natwest. Is it normal to receive the offer but a Credit card needs to be cleared before completion? Do they need this evidence before they release the funds (additional borrowing).

Is this a remortgage; or a product transfer and further advance from your existing lender?

On a remortgage NatWest will usually mention in the offer if a debt must be repaid on or before completion.

Ok perfect, the debt isn't huge but broker thinks they will request it to be cleared or at least most of it.
