Barclays - Another credit check before completion ?

Hi, i have an offer with Barclays for mortgage since Apr, i exchange in May on new build and due to complete next week.  Out of interest, does anyone know if Barclays do another credit check before releasing funds? 

Said on their site they are all done at offer stage, We'll also have completed our final checks on your finances, such as verifying your income and running a full credit check, and valuing the property you want to buy'', nothing mentioned in the mortgage contract about further checks now, nothing at exchange point was done and they have confirmed release of funds for next week with solicitor and broker but just wanted to check what lender checks happen before it actually gets sent across? Is it just bankruptcy checks or do they recheck credit file?

The answer will be the same as the many many others on this question here - they could do, they might do, they might not do all the way up to the point of the cash being exchanged. I think the general gist is that it is quite rare, but don’t think anyone here is going to be able to assure you it won’t happen.

Lenders can track credit files and be informed of material changes in any event.
