Morning All
Damp and miserable this morning after a glorious day yesterday. Bedding and other washing all dried outside, bedding back on the bed and only two things to iron, they can wait.
Thinking of your niece Nanny.
Hope you had a good day off Ruby.
Feeling better today Gers?
I'm so glad it's Friday and the weekend is nearby, having a day out on Wednesday meant there was twice as much work to do yesterday, really hoping for a quieter day today. Lovely lunch at work, everyone brought a dish which was a nice treat although I did eat too much. Went for a facial after work, could have fallen asleep!
Happy Friday everyone, take care. XX11 -
Morning everyone still nice and warm here but overcast it’s meant to be sunny later dog has been walked and we stood for a few minutes watching the hot air balloon going over very quiet and peaceful morning breakfast has been eaten I need to pop out for some fruit not at work until 12 so a bit of housework this morning not much but enough to make it look decent . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's a grey start here, but seems warm. Yesterday was sunny.
I didn't do much yesterday apart from coffee at a friends, then had a hairdressing appointment. Did the usual household jobs as well.
Today we're taking another friend to her hospital appointment, and then for some shopping. She is not very mobile, and her usual helper can't do it today.
That's it really, not much else going on here.
Hope everyone has a good day though, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's a dull start here too with a bit of drizzle forecast for this evening. A change from yesterday when it was scorching all day.
Well today is not a day I am looking forward to. It's BFF's funeral at last. It's 4 weeks and 2 days since she passed and I think it's terrible that her family have had to wait so long, but that seems par for the course these days round here. She had lots of friends, as well as a large extended family, so I think there will be an awful lot there.
Not much else will get done today but I might just water the pots at the back before the sun gets on them. Some are already looking past redemption after they dried up when I was at the van.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better and MIA. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning all.Yesterday was a lovely sunshiny day when everything came together nicely. I felt better than Wednesday so went to my exercise class and thoroughly enjoyed it. Whilst I was away both the cleaner and gardener came and were working away when I got home. The gardener tied up my battered Mary Berry rose and did some essential weeding. The new clematis was in bloom, such large dark purple flowers which needed a bit of guidance back to the very old dead rose. My favourite flower is just emerging. My afternoon was pretty much idyllic. The farmer was out in his big red tractor cutting the grass in the two huge fields, the cows were mildly annoyed so were doing a bit of complaining and the sun was shining like a good 'un. Mind you the huge bull had woken me at 5.00a.m. by spending a good hour bellowing and stomping around the field outside my house. 😂
This morning I've an appointment with the practice nurse and then the day is my own. Overnight rain is drying up but there's still loads of cloud so I'm still undecided. Not long now Camelot, head down for the final push.I hope that your niece continues to get better Nan.Happy Friday to all.P.S. crossed posted with TA - such a sad day. You had a great relationship with your BFF so keep those happy memories close to you. 💕12 -

Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
Sending love and strength to you today @TravellingAbuela - treasure those memories xx
I'm WFH today but DH and I are heading into London after work for a former colleagues retirement do. Not sure if there will be food so we are planning to get something en route. I have my 8 week weigh in at SW tomorrow morning so the timing could not be worse as I'm still carrying a few extra lbs from our holiday. Oh well it is what it is!
Hugs to all our poorlies xx
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, a grey day here too. Thanks nmlc. I thought I'd posted yesterday but hadn't ;)but did have quite a busy day, housework first then DB called and ate his lunch here then we went to the park to meet his partner and their DGD for a bit, sat in the sun and chatted while she played on the swings etc. DH is having a bit of time off as Ds2 and DGC are away on hol in Turkey now - missing them already! We sat out at the back reading when I got back before tea and I dead headed my climbing rose which took a beating in the torrential rain last week.Thinking of you today TA xNot sure what we're doing today but tomorrow there is a local music festival that we've been to for the last 4 times apart from when it was cancelled in the pandemic. We know a few people who are going and godson is performing, just hope it doesn't rain but the forecast looks ok.Taff, yes he got a van thanks after looking for ages, ended up with one a bit older and had to pay more than the one that was written off/ insurance pay out
It's already been in the garage to investigate a knocking!
Not sure what's for tea yet but I did bring some steak, and chicken that I used yesterday back from DS2s to clear his fridge while he's away, along with loads of apples and oranges.Take care all x

Morning! It's kinda sunny, kinda dull this morning, so at lest I should eb able to walk to the opticians without breaking into a sweat. I'm meeting with friends later for lunch and a movie, then I expect I'll do nothing much after that. I've shored up the trug, given it one coat on the outside, now I need to do the inside and the outside again and I'll do that when I'm back from the opticians. I have a very narrow focus these days, garden and computer, that's about it. Mind you, I suppose you]ve got to enjoy the weather when it isn't coldTA, hope it all goes well today. Hopefully you can swap a few stories with other people to keep her memory aiive in the ether..camelot, that's what I used ot like about work Christmas parties, everyone brought a dish from their own families, Ravi's mums samosas were to die for...Izzy, you paint a very bucolic picture, have a lovely rest of day...Gers, if you want the gain, you've got to put up with the pain [ of bellowing]
sounds lovely though, even the bull to be honest. One of my favourite smells is cow poo, my auntie used to have next door neighbours of the big white cows and I could see them through the wire mesh in the walls and smell them..Always bring s back memories..Coxy, enjoy the do and going to the big smoke
Take care everyone including he off colour people...

Taff - I don’t mind the bellowing bull, it’s part of being here and gave me an good show. He seemed in such a strop but none of the cows were paying him any attention. 🤣11
