Hi,
Received a letter yesterday from HMRC stating I haven't filed my overdue self assessment return or paid what I owe for the periods 2018-2021.
Never received any prior letters referring to this.
Also I am PAYE and have been during that period too, salary is under £50K have no other source of income and do not claim any benefits.
Why would they have sent me this? How can I resolve this?
Thanks.

Do you have a personal tax account? If so, see what that's saying. If not, probably worth setting one up: https://www.gov.uk/personal-tax-accountGoogling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1 -
Thanks for the response, I will send the letter.0
