Missing NI years due to University

I’ve just checked and I have a gap from 1996 -1998 in my NI because I was at uni full time.
It’s too long ago for me to pay these years back.
Now I’m worried I won’t get a full pension when I retire.
I don’t have a great work pension because I have multiple pots which can’t be merged from different employers which are not going to give me enough to live on in 20 years

What does your state Pension forecast say ?
Check your State Pension forecast - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
For the vast majority of people, missing just a few years NI won't stop them being able to reach the maximum ( currently £203.85 a week) and many end their working lives having accumulated more years than necessary. .0
