Good morning, it's a fine start here after heavy rain yesterday.

Not a lot going on here today, just the usual same old.

DP1, sorry about your PIP, do appeal though.

TA I'm another who has given up on freezer inventories, I don't keep up with them either.

Hope your niece is improving Nanny.

Glad your Dh is doing so well Izzy..

I know I've missed people, sorry.

Good morning all

Looking sunny out there after yesterday's thunder and lightening.  At least I didn't have to water the garden though!

Off to work soon.  Counting down the days to the weekend when I'm off on my hols.  Can't wait.  Last year we went on holiday to Greece but had to come home after 3 days has DH had a medical problem so am looking forward to 11 days in the sun with, hopefully, no disturbances this year!

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET.  The sun is shining and there is only a very slim chance of any rain. Yesterday it rained none stop until late afternoon.

I'm up and at 'em in good time this morning as I have Ocado booked 7.30 - 8.30 and last time I booked this slot he came at 6.50 to find me still slobbing around in my dressing gown! 

DF is back from her travels so it's bus trip day today. I have missed our trips and she is away again in another 2 weeks. I suppose it will be Skipton again for a browse of the market, the cs and then a wine 'n dine lunch and much chatting and putting the world to rights.

Eldest DGD is back from uni for the summer, along with all her belongings as she is moving into a shared house when she goes back. It took DD 3 trips, with a full carload each time, to bring all her stuff back. That is all now in my garage!! How she managed to get all that stuff in one student room I can't imagine!  It will all be to ferry back again soon but they are hoping they can commandeer someone with a big van!

Morning everyone well I had forgot but it is my wedding anniversary today we don’t celebrate but the hubby always gets me a card and he had today he said he bought it before his operation I wondered how he had got it . WW last night I have put 3 pounds on in 3 weeks not as bad as I thought draw a line and back on it now hubby was over the moon to have a shower last night we managed with a bit of manoeuvres but he felt a lot better for it . Off to work in a minute he is at the physio again today nurse came and took all his dressing off yesterday it’s looking good all clean he is coming along a lot better than the first one I don’t know if that’s because he knew what to expect but he’s happy that’s a bonus thanks for all your good wishes might start getting back to normal soon we had another girl come in about the job I showed her what we did asked her if the hours were suitable yes everything was alright she ironed a couple of sheets couldn’t believe how big they were I told her we get a lot bigger in and some heavy super king size quilt covers and heavy curtains she may as well know what she is in for she went home and rang yesterday morning saying she couldn’t do it she felt like she was having a heart attack after she had been in another one bites the dust . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all. Thanks for starting us off Scarlet. 

My dental appointment went well though I've got a bit of a fat lip still. Never had that before, it's a bit odd. Before the dentist I dropped off a load of recycling at the big dump. There's one lovely chap who always takes the bags from me, empties them and brings the bags back. All the rest are very grumpy. 😀

Then I collected an M&S order. I'm sending my Oz SIL their knickers. I'll post them off today. I came straight home and enjoyed the drive up. Of course, it was difficult to drink so I had a few comedy moments.  Late lunch was a bowl of tasty soup. 

Today I'm going to another exercise class at the pool at lunchtime. Before and after are still a mystery. 

TA - I hope you enjoy your catch up and lunch. 

Izzy - that just shows how hard your job is. 😇 

There were only intermittent showers yesterday so I'm hoping for the same today. Happy Wednesday to all.

Morning All

Thanks for the start Scarlet.

We have had some epic rain over the last 24 hours, I was on my home from Glasgow yesterday and the rain was so heavy the windscreen wipers on super quick time didn't help at all!

Hoping for a dry day today as I'm off for a day out to a farm park with the house winners. I'm meeting them there as it's fairly close to home and means I don't have to go into work in the other direction to come back again. I shall also be home early which is a bonus as there's an evening out for two retiring colleagues at 4.30 then the leaver's party in the hall next to the retirement venue. I always forgot how busy the end of term is!

Glad your DN has shown an improvement Nanny.

Morning all, thanks Scarlet, Enjoy your half day off nmlc.

I'm off for the bus in an hour to go swimming, then I'll take my library book back. I didn't go last week due to the RTA aftermath,the road closed and the bus couldn't get here. I quite enjoy going but see your point of view re getting dressed Gers

Last school pick up for nearly 2 weeks, DS2 and the DGS go away tomorrow, it'll be strangely quiet. DH says he'll have a few days off (I'll believe it when I see it ) We have to meet DS at tes co , there is a barbers there for DGS to have a pre hol trim.

I spent another day doing alterations/ mending. DS1 found another pair of work shorts that had split along a seam. I was on a roll then looking for items to alter Annoyingly the spool ran out of cotton as I was on the next to the last item, and it was nearly time to go to school so there is still a bit to do when I search for the right shade.

Chicken parmigiana for tea.

Morning everyone
We had heavy rain yesterday and it was windy. 
Today I'm going to meet eldest DD in Newcastle - she's flying back now via Amsterdam. We're going to see Stacey Dooley tonight - DD bought the tickets for me last Xmas but then it was cancelled twice. Shes just back till Saturday, so it will be short but sweet - I'm very excited to see her.
This afternoon will be spent in the shops then we'll have a nice tea somewhere. We're staying over as the last train back was just a  bit too early and has been replaced by a bus for half of the journey so we wouldn't get back till after midnight. I'm having to get the bus there this morning...good points it stops at the end of our road and only costs £2...bad point is that it takes two and a half hours to get to Newcastle as it stops everywhere. I'll listen to podcasts and other people admiring the view.

Hello all, the sun is shining at the moment. I've looked at every weather forecast and they all say different but I've stripped the bed and put it in to wash after choosing to follow one that said "no showers" today 😁. I'll remake the bed later.
We had to collect DGD from school early yesterday afternoon as she had a headache and felt sick, seems a lot of children are going down like flies. Now I have woken up with a headache and I too have a dicky tummy, maybe she's passed it on to me 🤨 Anyway I've had a piece of toast and a cuppa, so fingers crossed it'll pass.
Today I will either finish my sewing as I was in the middle of it when we got the call from school or we may be out in the garden trying to sort out the old fence, depending on the weather. The new fence will get finished next year at this rate !
dp1 enjoy your time with DD today.
Chrisca have a great time on holiday, hope there are no problems this time.

Morning all

Bright and sunny here and no more rain due today which is nice. Day off for me today as my private client is away on holiday this week.

I am taking mum out later she wants to go to Dunelm to look for some wallpaper for her bedroom so we will do that and then go and do some grocery shopping.

Salmon for dinner tonight with some new potatoes for OH and veg for me, DD is working a late shift so will eat there.
