Sharing my experiences one of the biggest dental clinics in London

I had orthodontic treatment with a large dental clinic (whose name starts with S) in London. As part of the treatment plan, I was promised additional services such as fixed and removable retainers and teeth whitening upon paying for the entire plan in advance, which I did a year ago.

During today's session, which was the second to last in my treatment, I was informed that in the next appointment, my braces would be removed, and the fixed and removable retainers along with teeth whitening would be provided in the final session, scheduled for a month from now. To my surprise, they requested an additional £890 for these services. I was shocked and insisted on the original agreement, as I had already paid in full for the extra services.

Unpleasant exchanges ensued between the receptionist and me, which I would rather not recall. Eventually, they discovered a note in my account, left by a former staff member, confirming that I had indeed paid for the extra services in advance. The dispute was eventually settled.

While one might view this as a simple mishap, I would argue that it reflects a significant lapse in their management. Hypothetically, if I hadn't insisted on having the ex-staff member make a note of my payment in my account, it would have been a disastrous situation for me today, as I would have had to pay an additional amount for something I had already paid for.

One major mistake on my part was not obtaining a receipt or signing a contract for the services. I urge you not to repeat my mistakes. I still vividly remember the stress I experienced when I believed I would have to pay more than expected.
