Old mortgage arrears fees. Reclaim. Letter templates?

Can anyone tell me if there are any letter templates about for reclaiming old mortgage arrears fees?
I dont know where to start with a letter to my mortgage company and want to sound like i know what im doing at least!
My fees were arrears fees and their solicitor/legal fees during a period i was experiencing extreme financial hardship over 10 years ago. These fees I can see even now on my annual mortgage statement and I presume are collecting interest! The mortgage company is Foundation home loans but changed ownership a couple of time I believe from GMAC to Paratus.
There doesn't seem to be many posts anywhere about these kind of fees being reclaimed at least not recently.
