I recently paid for 3 years NI contributions and these are now showing on my records.
My understanding is that HMRC now advise DWP to re-assess my pension.
Does anyone know how long this usually takes?

I assume you are already past state pension age. Likely several months, it is a manual process. The pension increase will be backdated to the date of payment.
Never associate with idiots on their own level, because, being an intelligent man, you'll try to deal with them on their level - and on their level they'll beat you every time.
Being hated by idiots is the price you pay for not being one of them.
