Smart dishwasher with Solar

Options
I'm not able to find the answer online so thought ask here. I have a solar array and my dishwasher has broke.

I'm wondering if any smart dishwashers have the function to only run the heating cycle when the panels are generating the most, but switch off when other loads come on like toasters washing machines ect..

The dishwasher probably won't but you could use a smart plug detecting the surplus. However what happens when that drops and it cuts out the dishwasher power? Not quite as simple as heating water in immersion.

That's why I'm asking if its a feature of smart dishwashers that they talk to your solar meter. If it doesn't then I'll get a dumb one and continue using a timer for the best times.

No such dishwasher exists. That said, finding an ultra efficient A rated Wifi connected dishwasher like this Siemens unit is likely your best bet. We time ours to run between 2-5am which is when it is cheapest on Flux.

Some dishwashers will 'remember' where they were and carry on after a power cut (or interruption by smart plug); most don't.

Thanks, probably why my searching didn't come up with anything. Supprised though could be a selling point

We use a Bosch integrated with Home Assistant and Zappi and turn on the dishwasher when the solar reaches 2kw.  The period the water is being heated is the only significant power usage and lasts only a few minutes.  Stopping it and restarting is counterproductive (water needs reheating) and unnecessary imop.  Bosch does have a pause facility however

A dishwasher uses the greatest amount of electricity when heating on the washing and drying cycles. Your machine would need to be capable of accepting a variable amount of power. I doubt that solar power varying from 300W to 2.3kW ( from monitoring my Neff) would do any harm to the dishwasher heater but you might end up with dirty or wet dishes unless the dishwasher has the ability to vary the cycle time. Given that dishwashers use very little electricity, I doubt that it would be worth making dishwashers anymore complicated than they already are.
