I'm on a DMP with Payplan but this doesn't seem to be helping.
Marbles/HFC are still charging me full interest PLUS late fees of £12 each month!!!!!!!!!!
I've mentioned this to payplan but haven't heard anything yet. I think I am going to write to my creditors asking them for my balance and if interest is being frozen as payplan said to me they will contact the creditor and ask about interest charges but I'm at least £4000 more in debt than my DMP shows so I'm thinking most of my creditors are still charging me!
Can I reclaim charges even if I'm in a DMP?

Hi, you don't say how long you have been on your DMP?
It can take a few months of payments before they stop interest and charges.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi
I've been on my DMP since March and I am still getting interest and charges on a few debt. Gradually they are reducing however, and slowly they are being referred to DCAs who seem to stop the interest a little more readily.
When did you start the DMP? Did you have all the correct figures at the time?

I have been on a DMP since Feb 2006 first payment went out Mar 2006.
I gave Payplan the latest figures I had & I think they also contacted my creditors to find this out.0 -

I think my debts went up about 2k in the first 3 months of the DMP. Then they started to stop interest and charges and settle down and since then it has been steadily going down.
Definitely check your current amounts. Do you not have any recent statements from your creditors? Some of mine still send them. One still gives me internet banking accessOne still lets me text for a balance update so I check most of them from time to time.
Looking at your signature, don't forget to check what month they updated your credit report in - some creditors don't update the amounts very regularly so may be a bit behind tooworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
