In 2019 my MHI (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) 3.5kw unit cost me £1100 and the 2.5kw unit, £900 installed, although the latter was done privately by an employee of the first installer. Installation cost was approximately the same as the material cost for the first unit, i.e it doubled the price. Although the installation on the second unit was a bit cheaper, I had to pay VAT on the unit itself, as the installer wasn’t VAT registered. Based in Lincolnshire. Didn’t bother with PP.

The 3.5kw unit is more than adequate for our 91cu.m. lounge and can heat it rapidly from cold in minutes. That’s the beauty of wall mounted A2ASHP, it’s almost instantaneous and targeted on the room you are in.

Probably the best money saving investment I have made, particularly when coupled with solar PV although the sums have changed with my switch from very cheap Octopus Go Faster to Flux in March.
Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)
