Another good change made

Well my fellow money savers, as I am at home for the holidays I have been looking at more ways to reduce the expenses and reign the debt it, which we seem to be doing rather successfully just now, albeit one step at a time.

Today I got up early and hit the money saving expert website and had a look at bank accounts, and have now switched from the Yorkshire Bank, who the Barroness and I have been with for 25 years, and have taken Martin's recomendation of the Alliance and Leicester Premier account, the one that is internet serviced, pays you 6.5% interest when in credit and has a free overdaft for a year. After the first year, the most you are ever going to pay for your overdraft is £5 a month - what a cracking deal. I phoned the enquiry line at Liverpool, went over the requirements and found the call cantre very helpfull. The added bonus is that all the call centres are uk based. All in all, from my own personal situation I estimate a saving of over £300 in the first year.

All this because I took the advice offered on the website! A big thanks to Martin for his efforts.:T

Phone them up and ask - what's the worst thing that can happen? They can only say no, what have you to lose? Let us know how you get on. Good luck with it.
