Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dry underfoot, sun making an appearance and very warm already.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy..
Dinner yesterday was roast pork, some LO's for another meal.
Back to work today - I'll see what that brings, hopefully it won't be horrendous.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Not so bright and sunny this morning but it's getting there. There's still a slight chance of rain but I've put the washing out anyway.
Success with the wedding dress shopping yesterday, I have it upstairs! Great shop, no need to book and lovely staff, not half as bad as I was expecting. There may need to be some adjustment to one of the shoulder straps but one of my neighbour's Mums is a seemstress so she should be able to help. Went for a celebratory lunch after to a vietnamese restaurant and very nice it was too.
Came home to my new next door neighbours looking for their house cat - it was under my decking. They seemed absolutely clueless as to how to get it out but as it had been out all night it was hungry so I suggested they go get some food and sit and be patient. They got after a while and beetled off back inside. Not really sure what to make of them!
Glad you will have some help at work Izzy.
Lovely to be invited to your neighbour's BBQ Iris, always good to have someone cook for you.
Don't do too much Nanny!
Happy holidays Scarlett.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX

Morning. Cloudy but heating up. Overnight it was so muggy, a storm is needed to clear it all.Yesterday was a moochy as I thought it would be, I didn't do any shopping as I'm going away tomorrow until Thursday, I've plenty in the freezer and cupboards to raid.Today I've got a physio appointment in the afternoon and the weekly banking to do whilst the rest of the day is yet to be decided. 😀
I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Monday to all.9 -

Morning all
Its a little bit cloudy this morning but the sun is due out later, I have no clients today as they are both busy so I am going to collect my private client and take him to work, might as well earn a bit extra when I can !
We went out on our bikes yesterday we did nearly 13 miles, just as we were about 2 miles from home the heavens opened and we got drenched I was actually cold for the first time for weeks, I came home and got in a hot bath which was lovely, we were going to bbq but I cooked indoors instead.
We had a bit of trouble with nephew yesterday he has decided that he is moving in with mum 🙄 err no I don’t think so, he ruined my mums house last time he stayed there for a while and her house smelled really badly of cannabis 🤢 I’m sure more drama will unfold today as he said he was getting a taxi over to mums with his stuff despite being told no !Something with mince for dinner might do a spag Bol or a chilli will see what we feel like later.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all, not as warm as yesterday yet, but predicted. I have taken out a ready made quiche for tea to have with salad, I'll make myself a little crustless one in a bit.DH went off to work early to try and get the heavy stuff done before it gets too hot.DS2 called with DGS on the way back to his Mums, DGD already dropped off but they all went to the cinema late morning - the air con was very welcome but she was a bit too cool
. I got a very detailed explanation of the film off DGS!
I did say I'd have a shorter version but he said I wouldn't understand the story then.
ND neighbour has asked me for some seed heads from the little orange poppies, he likes them & we've had masses this year, they just keep popping up. I've been trying to get yellow ones too from seeds I collected but no joy, until DH planted 2 azaleas they had to move from where the latest extension was being built. The owner didnt want them moving elsewhere so up on the banking they went - lo and behold first we had crocuses pop up and now some yellow ones so hopefully they'll multiply too.Ooh Camelot, good to hear the wedding dress is sortedHope work isn't too hot Izzy. I don't eat bread anymore but when it's so warm you don't really feel like cooking so a sandwich is an easy option, DH and DS have had a few this last week too.Take care in the sun ( or storms if you have those) x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, well the predicted storms still haven't arrived yet so they've moved the forecast to today now 😏 It was very hot and stuffy last night and we could have done with it to clear the air but this morning the sun is back and so is the breeze which is most welcome.
Sadly I didn't finish the fence painting as I ran out of paint and I'll have to buy some more, but I spent the rest of the day trying to clear the area ready to put them up. Everything seems to take 3 times as long as I expect and my aches now have aches of their own 😁
This morning I have already stripped the bed and put the bedding in the wm, I'll hang it out when it's finished. The bedroom will be cleaned bit by bit as I didn't sleep very well last night, I feel like I was awake every hour. I'll get Mr Fix It to help me move the bed out too then I can move his alarm clock over to my side as the plug is behind the bed, I'll also clean behind the bed while I can get at it.
Izzy fancy the boss getting someone else in to work, obviously you work very hard and it wasn't noticed until you weren't there.
Gers enjoy your break
RedRuby I hope your nephew listened to you and he doesn't just turn up at your Mum's again.
Camelot well done on getting the dress without any fuss.
Rosy I love poppies too, but the red ones.
Take care all

Morning everyone
Late up this morning as it took me ages to get to sleep last night. I had my bedroom window open but the road was noisy so I got up and shut it and then I was too warm.
Still cloudy at the minute but hopefully the sun will appear earlier than it did yesterday - it was 5 o'clock - I was not impressed!
I've a few jobs to do before I go down to work - DD will pick me up as little one is well enough to go back today - she was off all week last week.
RosyRed - I would love lots of poppies in my garden - when I go down the hill to go to work I pass some beautiful red ones at the side of the path - they come back every year
Hope everyone has a good day today x8 -
Morning! Well that was a weekend of fun and frolics..Up on Saturday morning, played a couple of games with OH, went to pick up Ohs mum at eleven to get stuff for party from Costoc. Went and fetched it, got back, put it all away in hall..Oh, where's the cakes? What cakes? We didn't pick up the cakes!! Then back to Costco, down the motorway again, back up motorway..Started thundering and storming as we got back the second time, quick stop in Tesco to get a card for his SDad, home, check waterbutt was filling, nope, I'd left the tap switched on, sort that and the downpipe, eat because I was starving, knackered so fell asleep. Got to party [bit late] had fun, got drunk , went back to theirs for a nightcap, got taxi home. In taxi OH mentioned trouble breathing and omg, when we got home his face and chest were bright red and blotchy, he'd had an anaphylactic shock to the colouring in the drink we'd had, so we were up till four in the morning [no fun when you're knackered and !!!!!!] making sure he didn't die. What I and he thought was his antihistamine inhaler turned out ot be a bog standard salbutamol inhaler that had expired in 2011. Good job I gave him an antihistamine tablet as well. So got up very late on Sunday, a bit delicate, went to fetch a tank I'd said I'd have off a gardening group to use as a pond, fetched wood kindling from a friend, went round mums and Sdads to give him card and present, came home, new phone to set up, so I did that for the rest of the night. I'm looking forward to a rest but I have fences to remove and some guttering to fit to the greenhouse today...Izzy, and there was you working like a trojan and there was her, fainitng like a victorian lady. I hope she keeps the other person on when you go back..If she doesn't, you slow down! Good to hear husband is getting better in leaps and bounds [ but not literally] camelot, well done for finding a dress, wave goodbye to stress...Gers, have a lovely peripatetic time the rest of the week..TA, hope you're still vanning away happily! Nanny, take a leaf out of Izzys book that she doesn't do and slow down! Ruby, must be so tiring to keep having to police relatives. Hoe he gets the message that no means no...Take care all, enjoy whatever the weather throws at you...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi7
