Does anyone know if we can try and negotiate a settlement for a debt which has been registered as a CCJ? or because it was registered in court do you have to settle that whole amount?

as far as I am aware...as soon as it has gone to court, and you have been issued with a CCJ...the company/court feel that you have been given plenty of opportunity in the past to settle this debt and CCj is the last resort to get u to pay the debt u owe...so therefore it is non negotible...
That's how i have always thought it was, but someone far wiser than me may come along and give you some 'official' and proper advice
sorry it's not better news form me!0 -
You could ask the court for an IVA ( individual Volantary Arrangements) order, this means that you pay back an agreed amount to the court, but a deadline is set, say 2 years for example, then after that I think the remainder is written off.. Would advise you to call The National Debit Line...............TEL; 0808 808 4000..... They will be able to help you
Good Luck0
