Hi there, just wanted some advice re an endowment that has recently matured, is it better to hold onto the money or pay off the amount against my mortgage?

There is no straight one-size-fits-all answer to that. It depends on your circumstances and you planning.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

If you can find a savings account that has an interest rate higher than the one on your mortgage, you would be better off putting it in there until you next remortgage.
You need to understand your interest rate, term until you remortgage, and any repayment terms/penalties before you can make a decision.1
