Tesco "Exclusive" Value Brands disappearing

At our local stores and online a number have come and gone and popped back up with supply and availability, however over the last couple of weeks there have been a number that say that the line has been discontinued. Given the financial situation it does concern me that it'll mean a significant hike in prices. Any idea if this is the case and are any of the other supermarkets doing it too?
I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...
I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!

These products are sold at the lowest possible price without actually making a loss. Due to inflation, in some cases that price will have increased to almost the same as the standard Tesco product - in that case, they will discontinue the Exclusive version and go for a better economy of scale on the main product. To an extent the price will be protected as in most cases they are price matched to Aldi.
Sainsbury's has actually relaunched their "value" tier last week as Stamford Street and Asda's Just Essentials range is doing very well, so it seems the big supermarkets are taking different approaches.1 -
I have seen a few disappear (e.g. cuppa soup - 4 sachets chicken or vegetable for about 35p) in other supermarkets too, but some do come back after a break of a few weeks and of those about half have had price increases.
I think there's a few factors at play here but it means I will have to shop around more and maintain the discipline.
Do you have any examples you can share @dronid.

Hi dronid ... you did it!
Received an e-mail from Tesco yesterday evening ... "We're bringing our prices down" ...
"
Keeping prices down for all our customers has always been our mission. Here are just 5 ways we can help you spend less with us today.
1. We’ve lowered prices on everyday essentials like bread, milk, pasta, butter and oil. As of yesterday, we cut prices on even more favourites, like Tesco Fat Free Cottage Cheese 300g to £1.30 and Creamfields 500g Yoghurt to 35p. We'll keep cutting prices for you as costs drop for us.
2. With our Low Everyday Price promise, we’ll continue to lock the price on over 1,000 items until July 2023, so it’s easier for you to budget.
3. We match Aldi on over 500 products, and we check these prices twice a week, so you don’t have to shop around.
4. We make our best deals exclusively available on 1,000s of lines through Clubcard Prices, from store cupboard essentials to easy meal ideas, in-store and online.
5. Through the power of Clubcard, you can also get money off fuel, your finances and even your mobile bill. Plus, we still offer the biggest and most generous Reward Partner scheme, giving you the very best value with 100+ Partners to choose from.We know things are still tough and we’re 100% committed to bringing prices down wherever we can, because right now every little helps.
Thank you for shopping with Tesco.
