Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I would just like to wish all the money-savers a Merry Christmas! I hope you all have fun in whatever you're doing and that Santa brings you what you wished for.

:santa2:

I will shortly be heading up north to see the folks and will not be able to access the forum for a while (noooooooooooo!). I know I've not been here long but you lot are all stars!

I hope everyone had managed to get through their Christmas Shopping in a reasonably pain-free way and, don't worry, the diet doesn't start until New year;) .

Happy Christmas to all!

Love HB x

    Christmas is a time for Love; a time for Joy and Peace;
    A time to trim the Christmas Tree and a time to stuff the geese.
    It's a time when we can come together, however far or near;
    To shed a little hope into a world of sorrow and fear.

    Yet Christmas could be all year 'round, if only we would try
    To gently wipe an old man's brow or soothe a baby's cry.
    If we could smile throughout the year as we do on Christmas Day;
    Just think what happiness we'd shed along life's weary way.

    To give a gift of Hope to one who otherwise has none;
    To be a Friend to somebody whom everyone else has shun.
    To be Forgiving of our faults, and of our sisters and our brothers;
    To Live in Peace and Harmony with ourselves and with each other.

    Ah, don't you see that Christmas is more than opening up the gifts;
    It's more than singing Christmas Carols and rolling in big snow drifts.
    It's a feeling that can stay with you throughout each day, all year;
    And all it takes is a loving heart.....and a sensitive little tear...

    Hello all

    Christmas wishes to everyone.

    I haven't done ANY Christmas shopping!

    Tomorrow the fruit shop is open at 7 am, and while I won't be going there until the streets are aired, I'll go later to get some mushrooms and a fresh pineapple for Tuesday's meal.

    DH went to Tesco one day last week, I said I'd go round with him but I nearly keeled over in the store, had to go and sit down. It was only 3 weeks since I'd had major gynae surgery....Didn't want to pass out, it would have been assumed I'd gone dizzy and had a stroke! I think it was just a bit too much for me, too soon. So a lot of rushing around the shops would have been an absolute no-no.

    I have just been wished 'Glaed Geol' so can I pass that on to everyone. It means 'Happy Yule' in Old English (Anglo-Saxon). NB: 'Ge' is pronounced 'Y' in OE.

    Love to all

    Margaret
