Council tax banding

My council tax band is F.  There is an identical bungalow about 100 yards away which was reduced from band F to band E back in 1996 however my local voa will not reduce mine as they say the other property is in the wrong band. I can’t appeal to the appeals panel as I didn’t make my proposal within 6 months of moving in.
Is there anything else I can do to challenge this, it feels like discrimination to me especially as they have not increased the other properties banding.

If the VOA has now realised that the band of the other bungalow should not have been reduced (which definitely does happen), then they are correct in not reducing the band of your bungalow. It is not discrimination. There is sometimes a reluctance on their part to reinstate an incorrectly reduced band especially if the reduction took place a long time ago.

The most logical thing you can do is look for evidence that proves the VOA were actually correct in reducing the other bungalow's band.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
