Hi all, sorry to reignite this one again.
I'm now going for the overpayments into savings instead of direct overpayments on the mortgage. The thing I'm unsure of is avoiding ERV if I use the amount at the end of the term as I don't always get a new deal when the old one has ended, often months before to get a good rate. I suppose the ERC might be a lot lower by that point anyway, I'll have to check.
