Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Scarlet.
The sun is shining here and I am going to the village/church fete and then to a neighbour's BBQ.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday.7 -
Good morning again, it's a sunny start here.Yesterday was a nice day, but the wind was cool.We did a bit of garden tidying, then went to Barnard Castle after an early lunch, we haven't visited there since last year. It was busy, we just strolled about all afternoon, had coffee, and looked in a few charity shops, it was very pleasant. No particular plans for today,Snoozer, you and the family are really suffering at the moment, I hope things improve soon.TA, funerals are taking weeks here as well, it didn't used to be like that.Coxy, sorry to hear about your coughing fit on the train, it must have been awful. By the way, it's no good telling Izzy to slow down, her personal speedometer is set at "very fast"Only joking Izzy! Hope your hub is doing well.Dp1 hope your PIP assessment wasn't as bad as you thought it was. It's a long time to wait for a decision as well.Sorry to read that Dgd didn't enjoy the boat trip. We once took one of our dgc's on a boat trip on the river in Durham, and he told his parents later that he'd been to London and had a boat trip on the river! He was about your Dgd's age at the time.Hope everyone else is ok, I know I've forgotten what others have said, I should make notes as I read.Hope our poorlies soon feel better, take care folks.8

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Enjoy your fete and BBQ iris.
Very warm and sunny already here, I've a lot to do today including sorting the allotment and carrying on with the deck wash - quite a bit of that done last night but my next door neighbour came home from work to sit out for a while so I let him have a bit of peace and quiet. Probably for the best as my back aches after a while.
Bathrooms cleaned and washing on the line, it'll be dry in no time today.
Hoping everyone is well and you all have a good weekend. Take care. XX8 -
Morning - thanks for starting us off Scarlet.Yesterday was a lovely day, hot and clear. My gardener came first thing and we tackled the problem lawn mower and its replacement. Together we worked out what the problem was 🤔 and she then cut the remaining half of the lawn. Then she scarified it. The amount of lovely soft moss which came up was astounding. I took four bags of it to the tip whilst she took two more.I gathered towels, bath mat and kitchen towels together and git them washed and out on the line. Then I sat outside listening to the end of my audiobook for an hour or so. There was blazing sunshine and only a little breeze. In the evening I went out to water the garden, hard to believe that it was needed after the constant rain we had in early spring but everything was bone dry. For a real change I went out for a takeaway from a cafe about 10 miles away. They only do three meals and only on a Friday. I had the pork tacos which were delicious, little bits of pork belly with avocado, sour cream, crackling and coriander on the top. Such a wee treat, I don't usually eat after 6pm but these were worth it.Today the weather is promising a lot, I hope it follows through. Hugs to our poorlies. Happy Saturday to all.8

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. The sun has got his hat on again. I'm sure we will pay for this lovely weather eventually!
Once I had finished the Friday Tidy and had lunch I sat out reading yesterday but I kept having to come back inside for a bit to cool down, it got really hot as the wind had dropped. Early evening when the sun was going down I watered all the pots at the back. I got this new hose last year but it's a poor connector and I am wasting as much water as I am using. My mission today is to root about in the garage and see if I can find another connector stashed away somewhere.
I have decided to have another week at the van from Monday. The site fees etc are so expensive now so it seems silly not to make more use of it and get our money's worth! Another bill this week for the annual service etc which seems to go up up every year too. So a bit of packing and food planning to do over the w/e is needed.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, getting better or MIA. I hope the junior SNOOZERS are on the mend and life gets a bit easier, you sound worn out SNOOZER . IZZY slow down! Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -
Morning everyone
Lovely sunny morning here again. I'm at our local cinema this afternoon stewarding for The Little Mermaid - I wish I wasn't when the weather is so good but I'll be home about 5pm so I can enjoy it then. Little one will be here for a sleepover so she can have a play outside after tea.
Scarlet - thank you - I was expecting to explain how I feel on a typical day but the assessor wanted yes or no answers. I've done it now so will just have to see what happens.
Gers your takeaway sounds delicious.
TA I hope you get a sunny week when you're away at your caravan.
I'm going to make a big pan of bolognese this morning as I have none left in the freezer. I sold 2 pairs of little ones shoes on Ebay so I'll get the labels printed and post them when I go down to work on Monday - I've already spent the money on new ones for her from Clarks outlet.
Hope everyone has a good day with lots of sunshine x9 -
Hello all, I've been up for a while and already stripped the bed and hung the bedding out, it's sunny and very breezy so it should dry. I have hoovered through downstairs as it was full of bits from crisps etc from DGD's sleepover. The mattress topper is now in the wash, the mattress has been turned and the dw is on. I shall re-make the bed and sort out my chest freezer (which is still in a mess) before DGS arrives this afternoon for his sleepover session. We are having a Chinese takeaway for tea as a birthday treat for me, it's tomorrow but I did't want a takeaway on a Sunday.
dp1 hugs for your pip assessment. TPTB don't seem to realise that life is not y/n or black and white, it's all sorts of grey. Hope the outcome is satisfactory to you.
Gers well done on getting your mower working, but very naughty for the manufacturer to have put the switch the wrong way round.
TA have a lovely week at the van, just in case I don't get on tomorrow.
Camelot I wish all neighbours were as thoughtful as you and not hammering/ drilling at the crack of dawn like one of mine this morning.
Scarlet thanks for the start off, have a lovely quiet day today as it sounds like yesterday was busy with lots of people about.
Iris hope you enjoy the fete and BBQ today.
Right must get on and re-make the bed. Have a good day if you can.
Take care, hugs to anyone in need.

Housework to do this morning and then I shall potter in the garden for a while I have a few plants to get in including a fuchsia upright blackie which is beautiful and almost black in colour.
BBQ for dinner tonight dd will be home later this afternoon so she may join us or may be out for the evening.
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Morning all well the sun is shinning and DH is in the garden doing some pruning the landscaper will be here Monday then offer the rest of the week as he is off to watch West Ham play in the finals in Prague then back to finish off thank goodness i am fed up with the grit and dust but at least we will have a useable garden when its done it used to be about 4 different levels with killer steps at the side . Today i am packing for the cruise all this talk of boat trips and DGC has me a tad worried for the dreaded Bay of Biscay with DGS although I have done it twice with no problems so fingers crossed
