Mortgage deed - witness

There are two borrowers.  The paperwork says each signature to be separately witnessed.

Does this mean a different witness for each borrower, or just that the same witness has to fill in their signature, name and address under each borrower's signature?

Same witness, just that they have to do it twice, once for each signature.
