Second Life

Last year I dabbled with the "Second Life" game, including depositing some money with my credit card.
I have decided to try and withdraw my funds but they are being difficult about it. There wasn't an option to withdraw by credit card, so I tried with PayPal but it was declined for some reason. Then I tried again, and Second Life emailed to say sorry they won't withdraw it as my fund deposit method (ie credit card) has expired. They want me to set up a new deposit method before I can withdraw to PayPal.
Anyone any experience with withdrawing from Second Life?

There must be an option to update your credit card details. All credit card expire after a certain time so there's always a way of updating them.
If you can't find a way to update your card just add a new card with the new expiry date.0 -
I managed to update my credit card details, then tried again to withdraw. They send me a message saying I can't withdraw, I can only withdraw earnings from Second Life not my deposit !! anyone else experienced this?0

hopefully someone here will one day have something to say about Second Life? or maybe google will pick it up
keywords: credit card deposit, can't withdraw, locked0 -
I don't think people on here bother with second life so they can't help.
I do sympathise with you, and hope you get it sorted out.
Perhaps if you pop onto the gambling board you may get some help. Nobody there will have heard of second life, but they will know how to get money back from sites as your problem seems to be the same as some have when they try to withdraw money from bookie sites.
Just mention that you are having problems getting your money back from a site, and why. Mention that it is not a bookie site but you have heard they may be able to help as it is a similar problem to what some of them face.
Sorry that's the best I can do, but please let us know how you get on, you never know when someone else might have the same problem.0 -
I had a look at Second Life a couple of years back and I thought then there was something not quite right about it. I sincerely hope you get your cash back but as I didn't part with any cash myself, I can only offer my support on here. Good luck, hope you're not too much out of pocket.'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'
