Dear All,
A bit of an odd question,, but this has been one of my biggest bug bears in recent years. I always go for the cheapest shower gel on offer. However it seems that all these shower gels seem to literally exhibit the quantum phenomena of superfludity in that as soon as I use it literally half of it rolls off and ends up on the shower basin no matter what I do, believe me I have tried everything. Being cynical I believe this is a designed on purpose just so I end up buying more .Not great for the environment either, and I don't want to use traditional soap. Any recommendations, happy to pay more.
Thanks

Where are you applying it?
I usually use a scrunchie and apply it to that, it doesn't roll off.
I'm currently using a 'oil-infused foam' that was a gift, I apply that to the middle of my cupped palm and that doesn't roll off either.
I use Sanex shower gel, I buy it when it's on offer.2 -
Thanks for the recommendations, I apply it directly, always in a rush in the morning. Will try your suggested products and the scrunchy, have always just used my hands to apply the gel, thanks again!0

Have a look at things like Imperial Leather Foamburst or Radox Shower Mousse - a little of both goes a long way, although I find the foamburst to be a richer foam. Only buy on offer! Don't buy at full price - they swing around through promotional cycles whereby the Foamburst can be had for about £2 a tin and the Radox for £1.50. (Amazon also do bulk purchase packs too)

Thanks for the recommendations, will look online for promotions on Foamburst0

We decant our shower gel into a pump bottle. Ours is from face wash, but you can buy one to match your taste, decor etc. One or two pumps are enough if you use a sponge to help with the lathering and good scrub. Currently using L'occitane from a pouch (a refill) which was bought on offer. Also found that it lasts longer than cheap gels we used to buy.1

I'd second using a scrunchie and also transferring products to pump bottles. I, too, use bottles from hand wash.
You'll soon get into the habit of using a scrunchie and find out how many 'squirts' of gel you need. It varies with product and also how hard/soft the water is in your area.
It's so much easier to use pump action in the shower rather than fiddling about unscrewing lids.0
