Good morning, it's a lovely morning here, brilliant sunshine.
I forgot to post yesterday, it was late afternoon when I remembered, and I thought I would just leave it till today.
Nothing of note happened yesterday, Dh was out at a meeting to do with his hobby, and I just pottered.
Hope everyone is all right, I'll pop back later.

Morning All
I'm back from my travels up north, beautiful setting and a dog to walk so I'm fit and rested! Travel was ok yesterday but very busy with campers and motorbikes mostly going the other way thankfully. Washing mostly done yesterday after I got home and dry in record time. Towel wash has just gone on the line and will be dry by the time I get home from little one sitting whilst her Mummy goes to work for a few hours.
So sorry to hear you lost your best buddy TA, hang on to those happy memories.
Hope everyone is well soon Snoozer.
Must do some shopping this afternoon and go and water the allotment, my poor veggies will be struggling with the warm, sunny weather.
Have a good bank holiday Monday, take care. XX13 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for kicking off. The sun has got his hat on again. As promised by the forecaster, yesterday was much cooler than of late but temps are now back on the up again.
No plans for today other than pottering on with this and that and hopefully back to sitting in the garden again reading. DS came to trim the front hedge yesterday morning so that at least looks a bit tidier. Shame about the rest of it!
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. GERS I hope you are soon feeling a bit perkier. Take care all and be safe xx

Hi everyone,
Thanks camelot, Steve has the faintest of lines today but feels well, I'm ok but have been left with some strange muscle aches, especially between my ribs, really painful.
The family will be back some time today, I need to find out if they'll be back for a meal, if so I'll do a very easy meatballs and fries dish or if Laura feels they've eaten too much junk this weekend something with salad.
I had a productive day yesterday sorting out the dining room/sewing room/Esben's craft room/Laura's office. It had become a bit overwhelmed by everything and although I've still got things to sort out it's going to be a much better space. I want to finish before the family get home.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning folks. It's a bright though chilly start today. It may even hot up. 🌞
Yesterday I went up to Oban for a few bits and pieces. For a change I drove right into the town centre hoping for a parking space near a particular shop - the place was rammed with people, and I do mean rammed. There were huge crowds everywhere along the harbour line, eventually I spotted the magnificent PS Waverley in dock. She was doing trips around the inner Hebrides though I'm sure that most of the crowds just came along to see her. I went round the centre twice to get a clearer view. Now that I have a new mower body it's still not working so I suspect that the problem is the battery so I've ordered a new one. I can't possibly ask for one under the warranty as I've already been dealt with so generously by the company.Today I've got an appointment with my physio this afternoon even though it's a bank holiday.Taff - yes, I always think of Nelski when I have liver and onions. Yesterday I had the second piece added in mash and peas and made a mushroom cream sauce. Just heaven, my second favourite homemade meal. 😋😋 For today I have YS chicken Kyiv from Marks, no mash.Happy bank holiday Monday to all.11 -

Morning all, hope you're all enjoying the BH weekend. It looks to be a better day for us today, we abandoned plans for a bbq as it was a bit chilly in the back garden. We had a visit to the range to get some new solar lights and a new cover for the bbq. We don't like 1 set of lights we bought, they're a bit manic flashing on and off rather than the gentle twinkle we envisaged
Might pick up a cheap set like the ones we had before. Also planted some new shrubs on the banking at the back of the garden, looking a lot better now.
Not sure what we'll be up to today but hopefully we can cook the bbq stuff we got from the butchers.Izzy hope the knee op goes well for DH.Gers shame the mower still isn't working.Glad you enjoyed your trip Camelot.Hope the rib pain goes soon SnoozerTA sounds like there's a fair bit of pottering going on, us tooEnjoy your day folks x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Lovely bright day here again but I wish the wind would die down a bit, we did bbq last night but the wind got a bit much, it is good for drying the washing though.
Yesterday I re-oiled the two counters I had already done as they looked like they needed another coat, I will have to wait till next weekend to do the others as I have clients coming tomorrow and they will almost certainly put things on them or touch them, they do need to be completely dry before use so I will wait till the weekend.
We took the dogs on a lovely walk through the woods yesterday where it was a bit cooler both dogs ended up in the pond so had to have a bath once home as they were very smelly.
We are going to do a bit of housework this morning and then OH and I will go out for a bike ride this afternoon.
Izzy I hope the op goes well for your DH xx
TA have you thought of getting a gardener? We got one for mum I advertised for one on FB and a chap replied, he is retired but retired young so still fit and able, he comes to mums each Tuesday for a couple of hours and he has transformed her garden, it just takes the hard work out of it for her and she is able to enjoy it then - just a thought xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning everyone
Lovely sunny morning here. I plan to do some hoovering and tidying this morning and then sit outside with my book and yesterday's paper later.
DD got home late last night - she texted after 11 to say she was in bed. I had a nice chat with her while she was waiting for her connecting flight at Paris. She loved Japan and hopes she gets to go again, perhaps next year.
I'll see her in a few weeks as she'll be home for a short visit. She bought us tickets to see Stacey Dooley at Newcastle a couple of Christmases ago - it was cancelled because of Covid then again when she was pregnant but we'll see her in June....I've seen her once before and really enjoyed it.
Well I'm going to get on - hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
Morning all, we have sun but a few clouds are scudding across the sky rapidly in the strong breeze. Dad was on his best behaviour but he seems to be getting a bit confused at times. Surprisingly he even thanked us for our company !
Today I must tackle the garden, the front lawn first and then the back but I'll see how far I can get before running out of steam. The front hedge needs a haircut too, it's only about 8 ft long but that may be a step too far today. There are a few shrubs that need taming and my honeysuckle is flailing about madly so that needs tying into the frame. I have to put the bins out tonight so I'll copy my neighbours as I've forgotten which combination of bins it is.
Scarlet thanks for the start off.
Izzy good luck to your DH for successful op.
Snoozer hope everyone gets well soon and Esben settles when he's home.
Camelot glad you had a good time away.
Gers hope your mower battery does the trick.
TA is your DS for hire to cut my hedge ? If so please send him asap 🙏😁
Rosy hope you get your BBQ.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12 -

Their other grandad is coming to stay today and we will have another bbq, had one yesterday before the it got too windy.
Need to pop to get some more rolls and burgers this morning.
Hope everyone has a good BH Monday
Hugs to all who need them
