Rail Replacement Bus never showed up - had to get a taxi - how to claim it back?

Hello,

I had a "train" booked today from Llandovery to Bristol.

Which was in two stages:

1) A rail replacement bus from from Llandovery to Swansea
2) A train from Swansea to Bristol

The replacement bus to Swansea didn't come (was due at 3:02pm) so about 5pm I got a taxi to Swansea (with the one other passenger who was also waiting for the same bus) as I'd given up on the bus and didn't want to miss the last trains from Swansea to Bristol.

The taxi cost £80, so £40 to me as I split it with the other passenger.

How to I go about claiming the £40 back from the train company (Transport for Wales)? Given that it was a missing bus rather than a train.

No staff at train station, I did call a help line a couple of times enquiring about the bus, first time I was told the bus was on the road, second time they had no idea where it was.

Thanks for any advice.

You should have got transport for wales to call the taxi for you when the bus didn't show up.
Now you need to call them and discuss them refunding the taxi cost.
