Good morning, it's an early start from me after a bad night. I'll be yawning all day.
It seems to be fine and the forecast is good, and there are no plans for today, which I'm glad about really. I'll probably just sit about moaning about how tired I am!
Glad to see you back TA, and I'm pleased that you and Sparkle enjoyed your holiday, but I'm very sorry that your BFF has passed away. It's nice that her family were with her. Such a sad time for family and friends.
Yesterday went as planned, Dil's Mum was pleased with her cushion covers, we met her new rescue dog, and the three of us went to ds/dils for a pie and pea tea.
We got home at about 8.30 and just spent the rest of the evening watching tv.
Thoughts to our poorly and sad people today. Take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Was there something in the air last night as I had a totally rubbish night too. Couldn't get to sleep and then couldn't stay asleep. I think a nap might be on the agenda this afternoon.
I want to pop down into town this morning for a few bits to put me on until Wednesday's Ocado delivery. I can't face rushing for the first bus which is what I usually aim for.
DS popped in as planned yesterday to pick up his birthday gifts and stayed quite a while to chat which was nice. A later text said they were a perfect fit and he is happy with them. He is coming back tomorrow morning to trim the front hedge.
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, getting better or MIA. Nice to have you back NAN and glad you had a nice break. Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -

Hi everyone,
After I posted yesterday and the family left on their weekend away I did a covid test and it was negative thank goodness. I was able to get out to the shops to buy milk which Laura had forgotten to get for us. I had to resist the urge to go round the house like a dose of salts while they are away, I don't want to set back my recovery because I am still feeling tired. Steve did a test this morning but it was still negative.
I want to go into Cambridge to collect the bras I'd ordered before they are returned to the warehouse but it will be a flying visit.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning all, nice and sunny again. DH is up and at 'em trying to clean all the tree sap from the car. Waste of time really being near so many big trees
but my menfolk are very particular when it comes to their vehicles - DS1 was up at the crack of dawn to go to some car thingy in Yorkshire.
My trip yesterday to pick up my collection was a waste of time- it wasn't there, even though it was meant to be ready the day before! In my quest to find a sun cream that doesn't make myself and DGS itch and which I wanted for BHweekend, I ordered one that had been recommended to his DM. I walked to another branch and got it off the shelf- hope it works as I'll have 2 now. The colour run was enjoyed by the children and adults and money going to a good cause. Not sure what we're up to today, DH said he'd pick up some fence paint for DS2 and drop it off so I'll prob go with him. No football today for DGS so he'll be full of energy.I think we'll be bbq ing later as I picked up the meat pack yesterday.Welcome back Nan, sounds like you had a good rest.Glad the tests are negative Snoozer.Hope everyone has a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Beautiful bright day here and the wind has dropped a bit which is nice, I have a wash on the go which can go on the line later.
DD has just got in from a sleep in at work and taken big pup to the vets she is having laser treatment on her ear to try and stop the reoccurring infections she is getting, fingers crossed 🤞 that it works.
Not much planned for today a few little diy jobs to do and I might start to sand the counters in the kitchen as they need re-oiling.
BBQ for dinner tonight we have some lamb chops and burgers I will make some coleslaw and do new potatoes for the others.
Nan and TA nice to see you both back xxx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -

Sorry to hear the news of your old friend TA. A lifetime of memories for you.
chilly wind , again, down here. Library book to collect, by Giles and Mary from Gogglebox, should be entertaining, although I’ve not seen the tv show for years.
no real plans here

Morning everyone
Just had a catch up of yesterday's posts - didn't get on as little one was here for tea and then I sat outside for ages reading my book
TA I'm so sorry to hear about your friend - it must be lovely to have a friendship that lasts so long.
It was lovely here yesterday - little one helped me water the plants before she went home and of course ended up wet as I sprinkled water on her. She ended up running around just in her knickers and wellies. She was meant to staying over but DD was asked to a friends' barbecue tonight so she decided she'd take her home and she'll stay tonight instead. Two nights in a row would be ok if she would sleep longer than 5 in the morning!
I need to walk along to the shop to get some milk and bananas this morning and might just have a look in Homebase too to see if they've got any reduced plants needing rescued.
It's lovely and sunny here again but annoyingly quite windy too.
I can't remember who all has commented on Japan - DD has absolutely loved it and hopes to go back again. I'll maybes speak to her later - she's rang a couple of times when she's almost going to bed and it's early afternoon here. Today is her last day - she gets back to Germany late tomorrow night, but I can't remember when she actually leaves Japan.
Sorry I've waffled and totally forgotten what everyone said - I'll just wish you all a good day x12 -
Now that I'm more awake and dressed it's time to do stuff! I've emptied the dishwasher, this new one takes so much longer to run than the old one. One and a half hours seems to be the minimum whilst the other one did a load in 30 minutes - I'm reassured that the energy consumption is much less though I struggle to understand how.New body of lawnmower arrived yesterday whilst I was out. The great delivery man put it in my hall so I didn't have to lug it in from the barn. I need a little help to put it together, one part needs more brute strength than I can summon so the chap up the hill will come down at some point to do it. He and his wife have four holiday cottages to deal with this morning.I bought a long cable for my new iPad but choose one far too long, it's 10 foot, I was aiming for 6 foot and missed! I've now ordered the correct length and will donate the unwanted one as the postie who I normally pass on unwanted electronic stuff to is on long-term sick leave It's a USB C to C cable so I'm no other use for it. . That'll 'learn' me to double check orders. The weather is rather dull, cloudy and almost chilly here, no sunshine forecasted on the horizon until Wednesday.Snoozer - great news on being negative, such a relief.Izzy - those are lovely dogs, they look so bright and eager.I've prepped lunch by cutting up onions and mushrooms. I've having liver and fried onions and can almost smell it already.
