Currys - Discount code gone wrong but item delivered anyway can I keep it?

Cut a long story short ...
Bought an item for £3200, seen it elsewhere for £2200 currys matched the price I ordered the item.
Currys then decided they wanted to cancel the order because a £1000 discount was too much or something and they attempted to cancel the item.
The item turned up this morning and has been delivered to me.
What should I do? can I keep it? will they come after me for the £1000?
Thanks all

Its unlikely that they would come after you....
1) Curry's did a £100 off orders over £2,000 voucher but they fudged it up and you could actually use it on any size of order. I ordered a £110 item for £10, a colleague did the same and another ordered something of similar value. All of us got an email that afternoon stating it was an error so they were cancelling the orders and refunding but the colleague that ordered the same item as I did got his in the post the next day - he never heard anything more about it
2) Had a 15% discount code for a similar retailer but was told the discount could only be used on their website but the item I wanted to buy on their website said you had to phone to buy it. A little bit of detective work showed their website was rather basic in functionality and so was able to add the "telephone orders only" item to my basket, use the 15% discount code and had the item delivered the next morning. Did speak to them after as it didnt come with one of the accessories it was supposed to and they got that delivered 2 days later.1 -

That way you have been completely upfront but made your position clear: you're keeping the item and the £1,000 discount. If they don't like it and ask you to return the item, make it clear they need to collect it at their expense. Hang on to the packing for a couple of weeks just in case, but I suspect nothing further will happen.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1 -
Thanks both
will be keeping the item and have begun using it now so it has been used and has diminished in value anyway!0
