'Trashnothing'

Trying this here as had no replies on the ethical board.

I've only recently come across this site and I'm somewhat perplexed.

The hype seems to insist that it gathers together ads from both Freecycle and Freegle... and yet a cursory investigation of my local scene shows that the vast majority of ads from those two sources don't make it onto Trashnothing... and a whole load of other ads DO. Can you advertise directly on this site, as seems to be the case, or is it only parasitic on other sites?

In my area everything is the normal Freecycle ads from normal people with no other ads at all,so no problems with it here.

Never heard of Trashnothing - any good? I prefer to get rid of my stuff on Gumtree / Freebies as Freecycle responders are less reliable.

Yes we’ve had a lot of luck with Trashnothing over the last couple of months. We’ve been redoing the garden and have done it almost completely from stuff from there. Pavers, stones, green house, pots, water butt among other things.
