Morning All
Bright and sunny again this morning, could get used to this. It was lovely yesterday folding the bedding to put away when it was still warm.
I'm off up north after work to spend a weekend with friends near Strathpeffer, a beautiful part of the country. Looking forward to lots of walking and good chat although the drive will be long and tedious. I'll stop off at DS1s along the way for a quick dinner and use of their facilities! Really need this long weekend away from work.
So pleased you made that leap Ruby, your days sound wonderful for you and your guests.
Hope your day isn't too long Izzy.
Hugs to the poorlies.
Take care. XX8 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's a fine morning here, yesterday was lovely till late afternoon when the sun suddenly cleared off and the grey clouds descended.Dp1 Covid has reaally hit you hard hasn't it, sorry to hear about the nerve damage to your hands and feet.Bella I've got a line on a reel that you just pull out, it gives me 2 good lengths of washing line, it's fixed at one end to the wall. then 2 hooks on other walls. Not expensive, and they do fall apart eventually, but i've had this one a few years.Hope your bag is ok Gers.Glad you're feeling well enough to go out Poppy, it brightens you up a bit seeing people and chatting. You're doing well with the WW's Izzy.I've got a couple of pies to make today, Dil asked us over for tea tomorrow, then asked me to make it! It's easier for me to do them today, I've got other thingd to do tomorrow morning..I should really try and get a bit of ironing done today, it seems to have built up a bit, though I don't iron as much stuff as I used to, can't be bothered.I've got those cushion covers to deliver to Dil's Mam. that'll be another job jobbed. It's the last day of my anti b's, they seem to have worked but I've got to put another sample in next week to make sure.Hope the Snoozers are feeling a bit better, and anyone else who is not well.Take care today folks, hope everyone has a good day.11

Morning folks. The morning has brightened up since I woke up. There may be a fine day ahead. Yesterday was a bit in between, neither wonderful nor awful. There was a fine mist which came across the sea, brought five minutes of light drizzle and moved on.
I stayed home again only venturing into the back garden to cut the grass though that didn't happen as the mower wouldn't start as the battery seemed not to click into the housing. My gardener called round to help but she couldn't get it to work either. Eventually I phoned the manufacturer, Gtech, which responded magnificently by sending out a brand new machine. I'm quite overwhelmed by this as it's an expensive bit of kit, I also feel a bit of guilt but mostly very grateful too. It won't come until tomorrow so I hope that the good weather continues. My new tablet arrived so I spent a few minutes setting it up, well, watching as it set itself up really as all the data transfers straight across from the old tablet, it's a bit magic I think! Old one will go back to Apple as I've traded it in. I also caught up on Maryland, what a lovely story.I'm happy to report that my bag has dried out well, as has the cash and passport. Talk about money laundering!Camelot - have a wonderful weekend, it's going to be great walking weather.Scarlet - it's lovely to hear that you're feeling better now. 😀
Izzy - keep going!Ruby - what a difference a year has made to your life, you were brave to make the jump.I hope that our poorlies are doing fine. I'm still coughing but mending though I've cancelled my hydromobility class again.Happy Thursday to all.8 -
Morning everyone it’s nice and sunny not that I will see a lot of it off to work in a minute it clouded over just as I stepped out of the door last night hopefully it will last for the weekend. Hubby went for his pre op on Tuesday about his knee and got a phone call yesterday asking if he would go in this Tuesday for his operation so that’s been quick I was a bit worried as we have booked to go up to Northumberland in September and I was thinking I might have to move it if he hadn’t had his operation but he will be up and running for then we’ll not running but he will be driving. Gers that was good service with the lawn mower pleased your bag has dried out scarlet pleased you are feeling a bit better Camelot enjoy your trip . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
I was in the office yesterday so didn't manage to get on. Well done on getting the driveway finished @camelot1001 and I hope you enjoy the weekend away. Sounds amazing x
Glad you manage to salvage the bag, cash and passport @Gers - I did giggle at the money-laundering comment though!
@iris - alpaca poo? That's very niche - I hope it does the trick!
I find tracking helps when I'm in a rut @IzzyBee - good luck x
Hope you enjoyed the coffee morning @poppy811 x
@RedRuby1231 I envy you the job satisfaction. So glad you made the change x
Bamboo structures sound interesting @-taff - photos please!
Sorry to hear about more symptoms of long Covid @dp1 - I hope things improve for you x
DDad is being picked up at lunchtime and we have only ourselves to please for a week or so as he's off to Lincolnshire with DSis. I have a friend coming this afternoon. He has his mother's funeral tomorrow and needs a listening ear. We are hoping to visit SIL over the weekend. She's at home and can't be admitted to a psych ward until she's 5st as they wouldn't be able to resus her. She's 0.5lb off.
Dinner tonight is sticky roast pork - a new SW recipe which looks nice.
Have a good day all

Morning all
Its a bit dull here for the moment but the sun is due out later, yesterday was a lovely day really warm in the afternoon.
Off to collect my private client today and take him to work yesterday we spent a few hours watering the plants outside the greenhouse - we both have to hold the hosepipe otherwise he soaks me with it 😂
I need to pop into MrT later as I bought some t-shirts last week but they are too tight round the neck, I hate anything close to my neck !
Spag Bol for dinner tonight I will just have the spag and some veg.
Camelot have a good weekend away xx
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Morning everyone
A bit cloudy here but hopefully the sun will get out later.
Thanks for all the good wishes re Long Covid - we break up tomorrow for a week so that should help.
I have a video assessment for PIP next Friday, so I'm crossing my fingers for a good outcome.
Camelot enjoy your weekend away
Poppy it was nice to see you posting yesterday I hope yo enjoyed you coffee morning.
Redruby - I'm exactly the same - I could never wear a polo neck or fasten a top button.
Gers that was excellent customer service!
Scarlet ribbons - that sound just like my youngest DD she'll ask if I want tea then ask if I've got the ingredients!
Eldest DD is loving Tokyo - I had a chat with her yesterday. I was eating my lunch and she was going to bed! She's had several meetings and met the Japanese artist she is designing for - she says he was just like her grandad except he was wearing silver trainers! He spoke no English so she had a translator which she says was funny as he kept complimenting her on her pretty blonde English hair.
Just had a little video from her...telling me that Japanese public toilets play water sounds so you don't feel embarrassed having a pee....
I'd better move myself and make my lunch for work
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all..well, it isn't but you know what I mean. Just applied for two new passports for us, then did some garden potter, then went to fetch some freebie pond iris from someone, stopped at bm on the way back and got some planters, two for three seeds and a couple of sad plants from the cheapie section which are now soaking. Off to a friends for a catch up in a minute then OHs mums for tea and then home and crash out. Comedian last night was very funny, also had heart failure, he's the first one I've ever talked to so felt embarassed and chuffed in equal measure and scurried off after photos like a scared mouse...dp1, remember that you're telling them what it's like on your worst day and be prepared for them to twist stuff, so if you appear awake and responsive, it'll be marked against you etc..Might be worth looking around on the net a bit for advice. I got penalised the last time because I sounded awake on the phone therefore I didn't have fatigue...good luck. And Japan sounds fab, I'd feel like a lumbering hulk over there next to all the elfin people. Coxy, going to have to wait for a bit, I haven't decided yet..it might be dead willow instead or something else...it might be a coffin for the neighbour if he keeps coming out to tell me what he doesn't like now...kidding...or am i?enjoy your parent free week ! Izzy, that'd good, and quick so hopefully he'll be mended ish by then..Gers, i had a little snort at money laundering too...camelot, enjoy your weekend away! Scarlet, hope they've done the trick and with you on the ironing...Hope the holidayers are having fun, take care all..Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi7
