Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dry underfoot, forecast is for mainly dry day. Got a line of washing to peg out shortly.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was breaded/coated chicken, potato au gratin and veg. Remembered to get the pork out of the freezer to defrost, so we'll be having braised pork loins, LO mash and LO yorkshires with veg.
Just a short day today at the other office, then I'm off until Tuesday next week - hoping those that are there are going to be doing what's needed as Tuesday is a busy day and should be set up by the staff on Friday - we'll see.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, enjoy your days off.
Bright this morning but not sunny, yesterday was dry but there was a cool wind. Bedding on the line and the bed has been re-made. Ironing done and bins emptied - can you tell I woke up early!
The driveway is finished thank goodness although I may look at getting sealant for it but not if it's too expensive, I would rather spend the money on plants!
Hope the holidaymakers are enjoying themselves and the poorlies are recovering. Happy Wednesday, take care. XX8 -
Morning folks.
Yesterday I got two loads of washing out on the line before I went up the road to collect my new bed linen from Marks and do a little shopping. When there I went into the big Tesco for some brunch, they do a very tasty dish called Chorizo breakfast eggs which I really enjoy. I also went to the bank to get some cash, after that I had to quickly detour into Lidl to use the loo where I had a mini-crisis. I put my open handbag in the sink not realising, until too late, that it has an automatic tap so water was being poured into my bag. 😱😱 Everything got soaked - mobile, key fob, passport, purse and all the cash. 😀 Nothing spoiled but just a pain. The mobile didn't want to be plugged into the car got a while until it dried out. At home I draped the cash over cushions though this new polymer stuff doesn't dry too well. Car fob still works and bag is still a bit soggy.Today'll be quieter, I'm going to visit a couple of friends. Although my cold is much better and I am coughing less I still have the occasional bout of it so I'll keep up with paracetamol and drinking water. When I went to bed last night I took up a mug of hot honey and turmeric with a wee dram stirred in - medicinal reasons.I hope that all our poorlies are on the mend. Happy Wednesday to all.9 -
Morning all Weather is dry and sunny but chilly just waiting for the landscaper to come then i am off to town for a few bits other than that just the usual clean round i will do some washing but it will have to go over the airer indoors as i now have no line i need to look for a new one the old one was mums and the arms are bent and sagging i had a really good one at the old house that affixed to a wall and pulled out it looked like a rotary line but i have nowhere to put one like that here i had a quick look yesterday and oh boy a decent line is over £100 and not made of gold !!
Dinner tonight is whatever i pull from the freezer in a bit
Hugs to all our poorlies and those looking after loved ones I hope all those holiday are having a great time xxSlava Ukraini8 -

Off to work in a minute I’ve got the bosses wife all day it’s going to be a long day but they are away until Tuesday after that peace . Gers the best thing for a cough is a wee dram with honey and boo to the bag I bet you’re not the first person to do that . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all, thanks nmlc and enjoy your days off.Gers- oh no! Could have turned out very expensive so glad things were ok in the end.Camelot you must have been up very early!Iris- Alpaca poo
eh? Shame I don't know any alpacas. DH does have access to horse manure from the farm where he stores his work stuff, we put some on the front garden earlier on, & actually a peony that hasn't flowered for a couple of years has 2 lovely big buds on, never thought that could be why
Bella gulp £100. I just have 2 hooks and put up a piece of washing line between either side of the fence when I need it.Izzy hope the bosses wife behaves herself!I'm off to get the early bus to go swimming soon - I didn't go last week and missed it, will drop my library book back too.We had salmon and a few prawns last night, DS finished the last of the stroganoff. The fridge is looking a bit sparse but Oca do delivery tomorrow, will have a look in the freezer in a mo.Poppy pleased to see you the other day xHope you all have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Bright and sunny here - I am loving this good weather and have got a bit of a tan with being out and about with my clients all day. Yesterday we went to the beach and had a good walk along the sand for about two miles we then had a picnic lunch and collected some shells, I have a pot with alpines in the garden (it’s actually an old tin bath) and I wanted some stones for the top but I thought the shells would look prettier we collected a load then walked back to the car and they got themselves an ice cream, it was a lovely day.
I am enjoying my new job so much 😃 no one to answer to, much shorter hours, much more money, and I’m not completely shattered at the end of the day, so glad I made the change.
Off to collect my private client today and take him to work, we will pop in and do some shopping on the way home. Not sure about dinner tonight will see what I fancy later - maybe a curry.
Bella I’ve got a Brabantia washing line they are very sturdy and last for years xx
Gers hope everything dries out ok xx
Camelot well done on finishing the drive I love pressure washing it’s very additive 😬
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all...it's sunny! this is turning into a habit here...roofer guy has been and will send a quote for various things so that's another thing sorted. Next up, find a new boiler and radiator quote. I have a covid jab this afternoon and we're going to see a comedian tonight. I think that's enough for one day.So I did got to a GC and I did buy a jasmine and now I have to think about how it's going to grow. I know where, I need to make a framework though because it can't just grow up the tree trunk. There's going to be some complicated bamboo stuff happening - thinking cap on..Gers sorry about your bag but I did laugh..you are not alone...Izzy, you can do it! and have a lovely time when she's not there ::) camelot, well done for finishing it and happy plant buying...bella, is there space to put a straight line in? the pulley bit can go on a wall and the post a way away... iris, you have the best friends
Ruby, glad you made the leap too, it's nice to hear someone is actually enjoying their job. It never happened to me, except for when I volunteered in a charity shop
Take care all, enjoy the day...

Afternoon everyone
Just catching up while I eat a toasty. I've been to mam and dads for a cuppa this morning then to the doctors - nothing she can do about my very sore hands and feet - it's nerve damage due to Covid - same with the brain fog - hopefully both will just disappear 'one day.'
I then called at Asda where I got a few yellow stickered bits I'll put in the freezer. Oh and some more plants - thyme, rosemary and lavender - 3 for £5. I had both rosemary and thyme plants which I've had for a few years die in Asda. My debit card wouldn't work after several tries so an assistant had to take me over to another till where it worked, but it took a few tries - I only had my card not my purse so couldn't try another card.
Right I'm going to put this shopping away and then have a nice sit down - we were forecast sunny intervals but have only had the 'intervals' so far - perhaps the sun will appear at some point this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Oh, Gers I once did exactly the same thing x7
