Halifax turnaround times and experience

does anyone have any information on Halifax application turnaround times?
Also, has anyone ever applied who works via an umbrella company?

@firsttimebuyerlpl Based on recent apps, as quick as they usually are - 1-3 days to turnaround documents, queries, etc.
I do do Halifax contractor apps often. If it's an umbrella contractor day-rate based application, the income has been calculated as per the relevant Halifax criteria and it's packaged properly, it should go through smoothly.firsttimebuyerlpl said:Hi all,

Thanks @K_S sounds like it’s a pretty quick turnaround then.Yes I’m paid a day rate via umbrella and the MB has all my evidence etc so hopefully it’s a standard application.Do Halifax have a timescale page similar to other lenders eg Santander, Halifax etc0

Our application was submitted at midday today (24/5) and valuation fee paid.Already had a soft and hard search on my credit report. Halifax have also been in touch with the MB to ask for more payslips.Seems to be moving quick compared to other mortgage companies.. so far…0

I had a soft and hard search from Halifax yesterday after submitting the application but they appear to have disappeared now. Any ideas why?0

I very often get panicked emails from clients saying they got Clearscore or CreditKarma alerts for 2-3 hard checks on their file (which eventually goes down to one) and other similar issues, none of which have ever failed to resolve themselves over time.I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks @K_S. I was surprised to see the two prints were taken off. Hopefully all is going ahead to plan.Hoping my application goes through as quick as other people say their Halifax mortgage application goes through but expecting a bit of scrutiny as I work via and umbrella company0

Credit search prints appeared back on my report again.Still waiting to hear if the application is actually successful or not.Is anyone else waiting on an application via Halifax? What timescales are you working with currently?0

@firsttimebuyerlpl Submitted a vanilla Halifax app just before the long weekend which got picked up and processed yesterday with no further queries.
Hasn't gone to offer as valuation is booked for next week.
I wouldn't worry too much as not all applications take the same path, perhaps they did raise a query which the broker has addressed and didn't tell you about, I don't usually bother the client unless a query needs their input or additional documentation.
As long as you/broker checked that it meets criteria and did the contract numbers as per Halifax, it should be fine in the end.firsttimebuyerlpl said:Credit search prints appeared back on my report again.Still waiting to hear if the application is actually successful or not.Is anyone else waiting on an application via Halifax?
