Have you ever worked two jobs at the same time?
How did you find it? Do you have any tips for managing it, or any warnings?

I've worked two jobs theoretically for the last 6-7 years. One is full time during the week, other is self employed business at weekend, we're not talking home-stuff I have a fully equipped workshop that sits dormat through the week or when I use it as an office for remoteworking with the main job.
It's hard, and it's taken a toll, forget holidays and stuff but it's supported the family. I once did a breif stint of a couple of months doing a full time night and day shift - that was hard and unsustainable but it got me through a tight spot.
Not sure if I'd want to have just one job now, but you do have to watch that you look after yourself.0 -
I worked in the civil service 9-5 and Tesco 8pm - 12am for just under a year. It was tough and i probably couldn’t have done it longer than 18 months. I’ve since had multiple freelance jobs at once but managed to work them around each other.0

I've worked two jobs a few times in the past.
When I was in college, I worked in retail at weekends and temped in admin roles M - F in the summer. This wasn't too bad, I was working 7 days per week, but it was only for 8 - 10 weeks, and most of the time not working, I was probably drinking away my earnings.
When I was in Uni, I did the same and worked in retail and worked at the Post office during busy times like Xmas and summer.
Postgraduate, I worked in some very low-paid jobs, so I did extra work in call centres and bars in the evenings and at weekends. the hardest was working full-time Monday - Friday, 9 am - 4:30 pm, then having to travel 7 miles by car in 45 mins and starting a further role in a call centre 5:30 - 10:30 with weekend working as well in the call centre. This was hard and tiring but necessary to earn enough money. I think I did this for 2.5 years until I restarted at uni to study for a master's degree part-time.0
