Just had an update from MB who spoke to underwriter directly. It’s been approved and they’re doing their last ID checks ! Wohoo 🎉 We should get it in the post in the next few days ! 

So roughly 6 weeks since application ! 

Good luck ! Now need to start worrying about solicitors and searches and our vendor’s mortgage 😂

It definitely is a good sign I’ve been told as Saffron pay for the valuation themselves and generally take a very common sense approach to lending. We were initially rejected by another high street lender (Santander) because they couldn’t understand my locum pay.. and took 8 weeks to figure that out. Saffron were so much quicker (minus the glitch with the missed valuation).
