Whats the gross yield you get on rental property at the moment? My best is 14.8 and my worst is 7.6% Can an investment beat that without considering the asset appreciation as house prices rise?

I had to move once and rent out my house. Even with good tenants, there was always something at the back of my mind that I might have to deal with an issue.0 -
You are accustomed to being a landlord (in effect running a business) but how long do you wish to be tied to this particular business?
You are employed currently - what is your workplace pension /personal pension situation?
Have you obtained a state pension forecast?

It would be possible to construct a portfolio paying a monthly income.
Presumably you would use your ISA allowance as a start.
