Morning again, and it seems to be an ok one - dry and bright.
Yesterday was a lovely day. Can't believe we're more than halfway through May, where does the time go.
Not a lot going on today except sewing those cushion covers, I lost time when I didn't feel well last week, but the anti b's are working now and I want to get them done.
I had to un pick a bit of piping, it's a long time since I've done piping and I'm a bit slow with it.
I did some shopping yesterday as well, we didn't need much though.
Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks.10 -
Morning folks - thanks for starting us off Scarlet. Shame about the piping but at least you're onto it now.Meeting with Camelot yesterday was lovely. The new place went to wasn't as wonderful as expected and more expensive, however it was great to catch up and chat. I went off into Glasgow to get my stuff done and was home by 2pm'ish. I only caught up with more recordings after lunch. This morning as was very cloudy and dark grey, now the cloud is higher and a lighter shade of grey, can't see the weather being much brighter. My throat is now thicker, my voice is husky and my nose sometimes dribbles as if a tap has been turned. I've tested negative for the dreaded virus so I've caught an 'airplane cold'. I'm feeling OK though may turn miserable during the day.The wedding in Seoul was in the beautiful sunshine and great heat. First the groom's mother (my SIL) had to walk down to her seat. She had been dressed up in a traditional hanbok outfit. The the mother of the bride followed by the groom. Once all were in place the bride walked out with her father. Lots of bowing took place as the Koreans are still very formal, even in everyday life. The ceremony was rather long with vows and commitments, no religious element. My oldest nephew brought the rings up. Then the father of the bride gave a long speech which wasn't translated. Lastly I went up to give a much shorter speech on 'behalf' of my late brother. I was escorted by my youngest nephew and an old school friend of the groom. All the time there were cameras flashing, phones being held up and an official video being recorded. There was a huge food tent and long tables outside for eating. The bride and groom changed into their traditional dress, he then sang a pop song much to the delight of the 250:other guests. 😀. Finally the bride came out with a gaggie of friends to dance, first one with traditional music and then a much livelier k-pop tune. 😀 It was all delightful, different and very interesting. And glorious sunshine too.I hope that everyone is doing fine. Happy Sunday to all.10

Morning Scarlet & all to come and a lovely one it is here too. I was up and at 'em early as pooch woke me at 6 wanting her breakfast. Bit more overcast today. DH saw a deer across the road in the trees when he drew the curtains back.We had a lovely afternoon yesterday at a football tournament - at a rugby club in S/Mcr. It had a nice bar, and food and lots of picnic tables. DGDs team were taking part & had to do 5 mini matches. The actual pitches were surrounded by trees and grassy slopes, it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. Of course if it had been raining it would have been different
, but all the parents/Gparents etc enjoyed the get together. The girls did really well but got knocked out in the final stage. It was later than expected getting back so we ordered a take away curry & I've saved some for DS tea tonight as he was out yesterday.
I rehomed some plants from the front to the back garden as they had become hidden with new growth on bigger plants so it's looking quite colourful at the back now, especially as 2 azaleas DH rescued in the winter from where they are working (which had to go due to new extension) are in flower now . At 1 point we thought they'd died They are quite late but now covered in bright pinky red flowersI'm cooking a gammon joint today in the electric pressure cooker, not sure if we'll eat that today for tea or use it up during the week.Have a good day all x

Morning all
Bright and sunny here but with a sharp wind - it’s a good drying day, I have one load of towels on the line already and another in the wm.
Yesterday I went to Waitrose and managed to find some low carb bread 😃 it’s not as nice as normal bread but it will do, I also got my carb free wine delivered so I am a happy bunny ! Crisps still evade me Taff even the veggie and lentil crisps are very high carb I have found some cheese ‘crisps’ which are really tasty but nothing like crisps !
I did a bit of gardening yesterday planted a few new plants into pots and a three tier planter thing that was given to me, I also planted a Passion flower which I love so I hope it takes.
BBQ for dinner tonight it always makes me think of Nels when we bbq as she loved to know what we were having, and I often sent her photos of the food, she was such a foodie ❤️Gers the wedding sounds wonderful xxx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
The wedding sounds wonderful Gers, and how nice that you gave a speech.Pity about that cold though, hope it doesn't get worse.
Izzy, I've read about those cold tubs, are you going to jump in!! It's supposed to have massive health benefits. I don't think I could do it.
Ruby, hope the carb free wine is ok.8 -

I forgot to add in the bears! Just across from our hotel was the Design Plaza, the building was designed by Zaha Hadid so very futuristic. At the entrance was huge pink furry bear with antlers and inside one room was filled with pink floor chairs in twos. Whilst the photo only shows one pink furry bear between the chairs, later on each pair had its own bear which people came in to cuddle, lean against or sleep holding onto. At lunch time the place was full.PS - that's not me!10

Afternoon everyone
I'm late today as I had little one overnight. She kindly woke me up rather early -'gran I'm just coming in your bed..its not 7o'clock yet it's 5 0 5' - thank you!
I'll be in bed early tonight!
We've had some sunshine today but spells of cloudiness too - there's been hammering, drilling, sawing, grass cutting and very loud children...there's one family who seem to shout at each other all day! I've sorted out some pots and sowed some wildflower seeds and also had a nice read of my book...it must be with working in a school that I can shut the noise out!
The performance of Sunshine on Leith I saw yesterday was brilliant - I really enjoyed it and it was sold out. They wee doing four performances and they were all sold out.
Gers - the wedding sounds fascinating and the pink bears a bit weird!
I had some photos from Tokyo yesterday and a few texts - DD seems very impressed by it- she's loving the food too.
Well I'm going to get my dishes down and then go back into the garden to give the plants a drink.
Hope everyone has had a good day x7
