Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dry underfoot, forecast is for mainly dry day. Got a line of washing to peg out shortly.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO's from roast and I had fishcakes and veg. Remembered to get some chicken breasts out to defrost - they will become tonight's dinner.
Half day today working at another office, work again a mess so will see how things are when I go into work tomorrow at my normal office.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Wednesday already. The weather has been quite good this week, the promised rain for yesterday didn't arrive so I had better call at the allotment later and give everything a good watering.
Our Primary 7s are going on their residential trip today so it should be fairly peaceful in school for the rest of the week - I'm sure some of the younger ones will cause trouble in their place though. It's been a stressful job getting everything organised so I hope they have fun.
My colleague came into work yesterday but will be off again for another couple of weeks but I'll get there. Serious staff shortage at the moment.
Glad you're feeling better Scarlet and hope you feel better too dp1.
I had a happy hour with the jetwash last night, had to come in when I suddenly felt very cold. Lots more to do so can play again tonight!
Have a good day, take care. XX11 -
Morning folks and thanks nmlc. Another nice day promised, we are getting spoiled. I had to water my pots at the back yesterday as they were looking very dry.
I'm up and at 'em early this morning as I have an Ocado delivery due 7.30 - 8.30. As I had a top up shop at the w/e I wasn't going to book a delivery for today but in view of my jaunt to the caravan on Friday I had to do another top up shop to keep me going till the end of next week. I don't go to the 'van to do lots of cooking so it's mostly lazy meals on the menu! And a couple of bottles of wine may have sneaked on the order too.
Once that's all sorted and away I need to then sort myself out as it's bus trip (and wine 'n dine lunch) day. Probably Skipton again as we seem stuck in a rut these days! I have a little list of Sparkle supplies from Yorkshire Trading as we pass by too.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Dp1 you must get really fed up with the long Covid dragging on and on. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning all.
Yesterday late afternoon I arrived back in Glasgow 🎉 after two long flights. By 3.30p.m. I was in bed asleep 😂. Alan woke me at 6.30p.m.for food and then I was asleep again by 8.00p.m. Of course, I awoke very early this morning, now ready to face the 100 mile drive home.My time in Seoul was mostly fantastic. The wedding was so different to the ones we're used to here and quite magnificent. As for the city itself, again so very different, it was interesting to experience the culture and life, however I won't be going back. 😀
More about my trip another time. I'm aiming to leave after the school run rush, pick up milk and eggs and get home. Back to 'old clothes and porridge'
Thanks for all your lovely wishes. I haven't read back the past week so hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Wednesday to all.11 -
Morning everyone Gers it’s so good to have you back I’m looking forward to hearing about your travels Taff you take care you will end up chopping your fingers off you sound like you have a lot of hard work to do watch your back. Off to work in a minute I’m working with the bosses wife this week which makes it long days she goes between telling you all her worries to not talking roll on Friday. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Good morning, it's a fine start here.
Yesterday was a nice day , we had a few heavy showers though.
I was supposed to meet a friend this morning, but she's changed it to tomorrow, but it makes no difference to me. I'll get on with Dil's mum's cushion covers.
Glad you've had a good time Gers, have a safe journey home.
TA, I don't make fancy meals when we're away in the van, I just do simple stuff and use more canned things than I do at home.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.10 -
Morning everybody and thank you for starting us off nmlc.
The sun is shining here and it looks like being a nice day, so its out in the garden for me.
Looking forward to hearing all about your travels Gers - hope you have a good journey home.
Hope everyone has a good day.10 -

Hi everyone,
Gers, I'm glad you had a good time but I don't blame you for wanting to be home.
Izzy, well done on the weight loss.
taff, the thing I like about the Glucose Goddess method is that you are not asked to change your eating habits in one fell swoop. Foe instance, the first week you just change your breakfast to one which is savoury rather than having things like cereal (even porridge, apparently oats cause a spike which goes against other things I have read). I took my blood sugar readings on Monday 4 times and they were all just over the borderline reading, yesterday they were in the middle of the normal range even though I still had some chocolate in the afternoon. I'll be interested to see if it continues.
It's a lovely day here today again, I shall spend a bit more time in the garden again, it's not my favourite thing to do but I enjoy looking at the results so needs must.
Have a good day.11 -
Morning everyone
Look like its going to be another nice day here. Yesterday it was forecast to rain but it never happened - I was out all afternoon with the kids at nursery.
Thanks for your good wishes TA and Coxy Long Covid is doing its best to get me down at the minute but I try not to let it.
I have two 'boys' here doing my annual gas service check - they don't look old enough to drive the van! The lad who was the apprentice must have moved up to training his own apprentice - it's amusing me listening to them.
Once they're finished I'll go down to my mam and dads for an hour and a cuppa. Might have little one after nursery, not sure yet as DD is having car trouble.
I think I'll go along to Homebase and see if they've got any reduced plants before I come back home...its a nice day to do some pottering about outside and I had a few plants die over the winter. I need to get some salad seeds too.
Gers - pleased you're safely home and I'm another one looking forward to hear your tales.
Eldest DD is very excited to go to Tokyo - she flies on Friday morning at 6am, from Nuremberg to Paris then Paris to Tokyo, getting there about 6am Saturday morning. Then she really confused me by saying but you'll be still at 10pm on Friday night!
I'd better move - hope everyone has a good day today x

Morning all,
I'm in the office today so being a bit secret squirrel. Welcome back @Gers - I'm looking forward to hearing all about your trip. Great loss @IzzyBee whoop! DH is cooking spag bol later. He's on his own with DDad today and I'll no doubt get it both barrels when I'm home. Nothing like someone living abroad on a full UK pension telling you about the state of the UK to drive you to drink!
Have a good day all
