What is a CFS award?
I assume this is some discretionary recognition scheme and has a financial element attached.
It is very unusual for such schemes to be able to self-nominate, otherwise we'd all do that all the time.
The manager may be simply aggrieved that you went around them.
It is possible that the manager was reprimanded in some way for not partaking in the scheme.
Either way, going around the boss makes the boss look bad. The best way to succeed in any work place is to make the boss look good.0 -
You may have a good pick target but are you accurate? I worked in a warehouse and supervised a team. The fastest pickers were not always the best pickers. Better someone who picks 1400 with 100% accuracy rate than someone who picks 1800 with a 70% accuracy.
Have you spoken to your manager about being nominated?0 -
I'm pretty accurate 95percent or more. I did but doesn't want to. Hasn't nominate anyone for years even though some other people in my department deserve it.turnitround said:You may have a good pick target but are you accurate? Can you get a warning for asking to be nominated for the work recognition scheme.0

What do you mean by a warning - A “don’t do that again” in passing, or a formal verbal warning? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
He gave me verbally warning.0

I think you need to set out precisely what happened here. Did you get a formal invitation to a disciplinary meeting and letter subsequently detailing what happened, the result and potential consequences thereafter?Deeme1099 said:He gave me verbally warning.2 -
My employees think I deserve it even my manager said I should be nominated but he doesn't do it.0

So, in short, you haven't got a warning (I somehow suspect you know this). Forget it, move on and perhaps just concentrate on doing your job without trying to intimidate your manager, that might just be a practical way forward.Deeme1099 said:I was in his office .I told him that he never nominates me for a cfs award. I said I am going to email the lady who deals with cfs award who told his manager who told him off for not nominating me. So his manager nominated me.
That was last month as it done per month. I wanted my manager to nominate me but he said no so I said I will report it to her again he said if I do ill should leave. So I told him to nominate me he said no so I said I will email her and he said you can't email her. If I do I be in trouble but I asked for nomination he got fed up and gave me a warning verbally.2
