Inherited Additional State Pension

I will be 66 in autumn 2023 and have been checking my online forecast at least annually since 2016. This April I reached the maximum £203.85 I can accrue in my own right.

I was widowed in the 2015-16 tax year and my husband was receiving some Additional State Pension under the old system. I understand from the Government website and helpful documents posted on this forum that I am entitled to inherit some of my late husband’s ASP. I have no plans to remarry and disqualify myself.

Is it possible to get a forecast of inherited ASP, or to work it out? I have kept my late husband’s letter informing him of his pension amount for 2015-16 including full details of his ASP and COD. I’m aware of the SERPS inheritance chart, so know which band my late husband’s DOB is in.

Is inherited ASP entitlement picked up when claiming State Pension, or do I have to claim it separately?
