Offset mortgage with more savings than mortgage…..

As someone else has already mentioned you might be better just clearing the mortgage if you have the money in savings and may in the future end up claiming benefits !
Owning your own home does not count but having £50,000+ in the bank will even if its used to offset the mortgage.
PS I love offset mortgages having had 3 over the last 18 years.
If you need help at home the council will do an assessment of your needs and finances
Setting up a new offset mortgage will have costs even with Free legals and Free survey0
