Good morning all
its a bit dull, and overcast here but the sun is due out later and it’s meant to be quite warm.
We had another decorator round Friday night to quote for the same job, £1500 😃 so much more affordable and he seems a really nice chap, Taff the other quote was from a lady decorator who has a chap working for her, she said it would take them 15 days to do the job 😳 so between the two of them that’s a month to paint a small room and a hallway stairs and landing, I could have done it myself in a week ! Anyway she priced herself out of a job so her loss.
I have stripped the bed this morning and got the bedding in the wm, I will hang it on the line for a while later. Salmon new potatoes and asparagus for dinner tonight, we will get the dogs out for a walk later and pick up some more local asparagus.
Have good days all and take care xxx

Morning All
Is everyone apart from Ruby asleep?
I've done the ironing and been for a swim in the loch, it was really lovely and only a bit cold!
Raining this morning but due to clear up later so I'll save the garden jobs until this afternoon. Must go shopping this morning, the fridge is very white when I open it!
That's a bit of a price difference Ruby, glad you have found someone.
You're on a roll taff, good luck with the tradesmen.
I got a lovely photo of Gers yesterday with her nephew - they both looked very smart and happy.
Enjoy Sunday, take care. XX10 -
Where is everyone.?
I’m going out for Sunday lunch
will report back later10 -
Morning folks and thanks RUBY for the new Daily. No CAMELOT I wasn't asleep I have had my printer repair man's head on, tackling my printer that had gone in an "Error State". After much messing around and being almost on the verge of ordering a new one I suddenly managed to get it out of its self inflicted error state! I am feeling rather proud of my achievement and the money I have saved myself!
After saying it was cold yesterday morning the weather suddenly did an about turn and the afternoon was finally sitting out weather! I spent a pleasant few hours sitting outside in the sunshine reading. This morning started off sunny and warm when I was pegging out at 8.00 but cloud has now taken over. Is that summer over as fast as it appeared.
Well done RUBY on finding a more affordable decorator. Some trades people don't know what to charge these days. I am not envying TAFF with all those jobs ahead. DP1 I'm glad you all enjoyed your Butlins break.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Hope the travellers are enjoying their hols. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning everyone we had a lovely sunny afternoon yesterday and the same this morning but the clouds are rolling in now I think that’s it for today I’ve got a chicken to cook for later we will have new potatoes and salad with it . Pleased you got a better quote Ruby I’ve heard of people putting silly quotes in for jobs they don’t want to do it’s so frustrating looking for decent trades people. I might go and get a couple of plants for my pots I lost two to the frosts but I’ll see how I feel . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Afternoon, almost evening all..
We went to see a comedian last night, he was quite funny but not belly laugh funny then came home and had curry and chips. The curry was homemade and there's enough for tonight too with some brocolli. I went to a rare plant sale this morning and spent a couple of hours there looking at plants, eating tea and cake and looking at veg gardens and the gardens. Bought quite a few too. Mostly native British plants but a few succulents to enjoy the baking dryness of the front garden in the summer. Went to the sm on the way back, then filled up with diesel. I'm sitting down now and watching Game of thrones all the way through again. I do like noticing bits that foreshadow later events. It's been a few years since I read the books but I'm not hopeful the author will live long enough to finish them off...
Ruby, that sounds better...even if there are two of them how on earth could they price for a months work? Are they painitng with pastry brushes? camelot, nice to hear Gers is having fun. Hope you enjoyed the gardening. TA, well done on your techno troubleshooting..carolbee, glad you enjoyed! Izzy, I lost quite a few things this year that usually survive...Take care all, hugs to the missing, enjoy to the travellers...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi6 -
Hello everyone
Late one from me as little one stayed last night and it was about 3 this afternoon when DD picked her up and then I sat and read my Sunday Times for a while.
I slept from 10 till almost 7 which is a first when she's staying - usually her alarm goes off at least once during the night and she wakes me getting into my bed - she was in my bed when I woke up but she hadn't disturbed me getting in.
I took her down to mam and dads and wrote dads email to eldest DD in Germany - she told him her news that she's going to Tokyo and he's really excited for her...he finds it very confusing that his emails still find her when she's not at home!
Little one made me laugh this morning when she was getting dressed - 'granny can you help me with these high heeled socks - they're really hard to put on' - she meant knee socks!
Well I'm going to wash up and run a bath. Hope everyone has had a good day x6
