Morning! Not sunny but not raining..Need to find a roofer for a quote now too...funny how when you do one thing , there's a whole list of follow on or pre to do jobs that are involved. We need new fascia boards because ours are wooden and the roof is now seventy year old concrete tiles, they're not so bad but the ridge tiles were crumbling four years ago...So now we have a schedule of works for this year, roof, central heating and boiler and new windows and doors. After that, i will need a rest. And now I have some cat sick to clean up so might bbl..take care all...

Thanks for starting us off -taff.
Weather here is a bit dull atm, but forecast says sun will show its face.
I'm off to the cinema with a friend today.
Tonight I am invited to supper at a neighbour's home and we will watch Eurovision
Hope you all have a good Saturday.10 -
Morning folks and thanks for starting us off TAFF. It's true by the sound of it - one job leads to another. You are in for an expensive year I think.
I am late this morning but I got sidetracked - easily done these days! DD has been trying in vain to get middle DGD's hand seen. She tried a pharmacist who was concerned and advised 111. She rang 111 and was told they were inundated with emergencies and didn't deem it urgent so see a pharmacist!!! Only go to A & E in an emergency. It's getting nigh on impossible to see or even speak to anyone for advise hereabouts these days. She sent me photos and it looks a right mess - they think it was a bite which blistered then burst and now looks infected.
Between her texts I have been sorting through books and really must get rid of some - or buy a bigger bookcase! I don't know how I keep accumulating all these books.
Well the mini heatwave that was forecast for this w/e has yet to arrive. I went out to the waste wheelie earlier and there was a blooming cold wind blowing. Are we ever going to get any summer?
For the first time ever I will be watching Eurovision alone this year. We usually have a little gathering down at DD's but she is on a night shift tonight at the hospice so will miss it altogether.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning ( just ) everyone
I've had a lovely few days at Butlins with DD and little one...she has had a ball and declared it to be her favourite place in the world! We were lucky with the weather apart from a thunder storm late on Tuesday afternoon...which little one loved watching. Unfortunately DD woke with tonsilitis on Tuesday morning, she gets it a lot, so had to go to the nearest hospital for antibiotics...by Wednesday afternoon she was feeling a lot better.
I've been down to mam and dads this morning and have my second load of washing ready to go on the line - the sun is shining and it's set to be a lovely day. Little one is coming up later for a sleepover so DD can go see a friend. I'll do some tidying in the garden while she plays - I need to get some more plants to put in - I'll do that later in the week.
Snoozer - I hope Esben is feeling better.
I had a lovely chat with eldest DD last night while I was in the bath - she's very excited as she's going to Tokyo next Friday for 10 days. Work is paying for everything and it seems most of her time will be spent 'gathering inspiration'! Talk about being in the right job!
Well I'm going to make myself a cheese toastie - that's all I really have as I have shopping being delivered later.
Hope everyone has a good day x10 -

Morning allQuiet on here todayHave been shopping in Bluewater in Kent for clothes for my holiday. Looking at dresses and they are all so long and being just nearly 5ft they hang on the floor on me. Oh well I'll look online instead I think.Came back and potted on some seeds I grew. So much for 17 degrees out there. Felt like 7 and the wind was so cold so came back inside and had a coffee to warm me up. If the sun comes out later I'll venture out there again.Have a good day all x9

Afternoon all
I've been busy this morning, stripped the bed and washed that and another load. All drying nicely on the line.
Planted the dwarf french beans at the allotment and weeded another bed ready for the peas to go in.
I'm on the train to Glasgow just now, taking a colleague for afternoon tea for her retirement, should be good as it's a buffet.
The weather is glorious, I'm out in a summer dress without a cardigan, hope the forecast is right!
Have a good Saturday, take care. Xx8 -
