Chrome is getting slow as treacle. (despite resetting and making Google the default search engine)
It can lock computer so have to turn it off

Strange FF has started go very slow for me and have just switched to Chrome which for me is a lot quickerthanks to all posters

FF used to be my go to UNTIL it went like toffee, then I switched to Chrome.1 -
Generally use Chrome except when some forms don't show, then use Firefox. Not usually any speed problems with either.
(BTW, as a general reminder for all, make sure you regularly run up to date Antivirus checks. One symptom of possible virus infection is a slow computer. Other causes also exist so don't panic, but do have good Antivirus.)3
