First time buyers scheme

Does anyone know what will happen when the first time buyers scheme ends at the end of this year.
Like if you get a new house for eg 30%off then how can you sell it on to someone for 30% off like 10 years down the line if the scheme has ended? There’s going to be no one.

The buyer just has to meet the same criteria you did.

Yes but if the scheme closes this year how will you ever find someone who will meet the same criteria as you in a few years down the line.[Deleted User] said:The buyer just has to meet the same criteria you did.0 -
@antonwh Which scheme are you referring to specifically - is it the 'First Homes' government scheme? Are you sure it's ending this year, I haven't heard that. Given that the current buyer is required to sell it at the same discount that they received to an 'eligible buyer', you would have to assume that the government would keep it accessible in some shape or form for the foreseeable future.antonwh said:Does anyone know what will happen when the first time buyers scheme ends at the end of this year.Like if you get a new house for eg 30%off then how can you sell it on to someone for 30% off like 10 years down the line if the scheme has ended?
