Santander remortgage - Countrywide surveyor?

We bought our first home just under two years ago and are in the process of sorting a remortgage.

Broker has suggested we go with Santander and we have an agreement in principle. We’ve now been contacted by Countrywide Surveying Services about a surveyor visiting us for the valuation
I’m just wondering what the surveyor looks at in these circumstances? And what we can expect them to do whilst here?
I’m going to ring them, and ask but just wondering if anyone has any experience?
