Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Wet underfoot, loads of laying water - we had heavy downpours, thunder and lightening for a while last night - lots of localised flooding too.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish, rice, jacket potato, cheese and beans. Tonight I'm not sure but will organise something.
Work today should be ok, we'll see.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Looks like it will be showery here again today, it's like April showers - one minute wet and miserable the next bright, warm and sunny.
Another hour spent on the driveway last night, half way there now. Won't be long until I can play with the pressure washer!
Have a good holiday Nanny, hope the weather is kind to you.
Are you still away Scarlet?
Plenty of rest for you now Poppy.
I got a message from Gers yesterday to say she had arrived in Seoul, what an exciting experience she will be having.
Hope everyone is well, take care. XX8 -
Morning all from a lovely morning in Kent.
sky garden was fabulous, free to get in but you have to book ahead. Lucky with the weather too, you can see for miles.
meeting friends for coffee this morning by the beach, then swimming this afternoon.
good to hear Gers arrived safely
take care allCarolbee8 -
Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Great weightloss @IzzyBee x
Glad that @Gers has arrived safely
Hope you're getting plenty of rest @poppy811 x
Thanks for the Sky Garden tips @carolbee x
Another Bay of E charity parcel to post off today. They are little and often and it helps to get me out of the house at lunchtime. We too had torrential rain late afternoon but so far today it is dry and bright here. Off to see Guardians of the Galaxy tonight so a early-ish dinner of SW creamy sausage pasta. Need to pick up some quark at lunchtime.
I need to put the washing away this morning - luckily mostly underwear and non-ironing stuff. I also need to make up DD's bed for DDad who is back with us on Sunday. It's all go.
I received a voucher from Oc@do for 20% off a £60 shop, so that's booked for Sunday morning. Thought it was a good deal and saves me going to Aldi.
Hope you all have a good day.

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. For a change we are lucky with the weather, no rain again yesterday but there was a sneaky little breeze once again taking the edge off the temps.
CAMELOT it was good to hear GERS has arrived safely. I hope she has a fabulous time and look forward to hearing all about it.
After a clothes and bedding clearout I started on cupboards yesterday! I am regretting this already as there are now bags and boxes piled up everywhere! I even ventured into the overflowing garage but didn't know where to start! Too much stuff stashed out there for Justin!! A few bits and pieces hit the bin and I have metal stuff ready to put out for any scrapmen doing the rounds. We used to have one who passed religiously at 8.30 every morning until we heard he was ill. Now they seem few and far between.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. POPPY I hope you are resting. And I hope the travellers are enjoying their holidays. Is SCARLET still away she seems to have been missing for a while. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning all, thanks for the start nmlc.Glad to know Gers has arrived safely, thanks Camelot. It was the usual rush after school last night & we didnt have time for our 'proper' tea before DGS football but I made a sandwich for DH & DGS had a warmed sausage roll that I put in a food flask. Was worried it would go a bit soggy but he ate it with relish in the car on the way over to meet DS &DGD
& his DM met us there too. Today should be a bit easier, and we are meeting friends at the pub for a pizza, which will make a nice change.
My DB1 rang last night, not spoken to him for a while, he puts his phone on speaker so at times it was a 4 way conversation with SIL, and then DH chipping in now & then,we were on nearly an hour. That reminds me I must ring my cousin today ....
Not much else of interest really so I'll love you and leave you & hope you all have a good dayx

Morning all. Potted on my tomatoes yesterday, about 32, ok 34, of them. No, I don't have space for all of them..No, I don't know what I'm goign to do with them
Moved a few stones in readiness for the tree felling. I'm going to slow and steady clean up the back so there's room to move up there. A friend is coming round later on and we are going to OHs mums for tea. No, we don't have them over when I cook because there's nowhere for them to sit, we haven't got a table and chairs, we have a work table and one chair we use between us because his office chair is in his little men room, so we use mine dowsntairs. I'll be inviting the world and his or her wife when I have a new kitchen.
camelot, you go girl, there's no fun like pressure washer fun! Glad Gers got there in one piece, as a destination I find it very exotic ..carolbee, glad you had good weather for the skygarden. I forget we have spectacular sights here too. Coxy, if you like Guardians anyway, take some hankies...In fact, take some hankies anyway. TA, put it out anyway, it should miraculously disappearIzzy, good plan! Rosy, enjoy your lunch out! Hope the missing on holiday are having fun, hope the missing poorly are as comfortable as they can be..take care all anyway though...

Well I spoke too soon about us avoiding the rain! It finally caught up with us this morning and has rained on and off since!
I put my scrap metal (including our ancient copper cylinder) out about 11.00 this morning and a chappie has just knocked to ask if he could take it all. He loaded it in his lorry and I reckon he has got rich pickings there! The cylinder especially as it weighed a ton and took some "walking" out of the garage to the bottom of the drive.
The urge to do more clearing out has deserted me today. i function better when the sun is shining!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"6
