Best time to buy

It’s my partners birthday in December and I’d like to buy him a new watch. It’s more than I would usually spend as it’s a “big” birthday but I’m not sure the best time to buy. I looked on Klarna and it says that now is a good time to buy (but I’m dubious whether that’s just to encourage sales). Or is there likely to be Black Friday deals etc if I wait.
I don’t want the price to go up and get a false discount.

Any ideas??

Pmd the team to move to an actual board as it’s currently not posted on one

    Lovely idea, @M_Marple.

Black Friday and the Christmas sales are both big events around that time, and although it's hard to predict exactly which of those will get you the best bargain, our deals expert MSE Oli gave us a steer:

No mention of budget, but If you are considering spending a significant sum on a higher end branded watch buy used.

It’s this I’ve seen on Klarna when trying to look at price comparisons. It appears that it will go up in price. The it’s a good time to buy making me think that I should get one now and put it aside! Not sure how reliable it is!
