I've read before about the cloud edge effect, but it must been generating this amount for more than a few seconds, my solax app updates every 5 minutes so it would be a coincidence if it had manage to capture that high figure at that exact moment....7.2 from 6.4 is pretty good though isn't it!
Last year, in cloudless skies in the middle of the day, the output peaked at between 5 and 5.5kW depending on the temperature, even when there was some spare capacity in the battery. If we have a cool day in late June it might be better, but last year it was too warm.6.4kWp (16 * 400Wp REC Alpha) facing ESE + 5kW Huawei inverter + 10kWh Huawei battery. Buckinghamshire.0 -
I've had the same thing with my new inverter. Not got to the bottom of whether it's correct or not yet

Also if the panels are of a "family" of panels with a range of available output, it's not unknown for some of these to be labelled as lower output even though they could output more. For example, a manufacturer of panels with 380W to 405W panels with the same other specifications.
PV total 19.8 kW system:
23 x 420W East/West split over two flat roof areas at 10 degrees inclination.
13 x 390W South spit over two flat roof areas at 5 to 20 degrees inclination.
6 x 390W south wall mounted at 90 degrees inclination.
7 x 390W West wall mounted at 90 degrees inclination.
2 x 5 kW hybrid inverters
4 x 9.5 kWh batteries (38 kWh total)1 -
mine are Trina 390w panels if that makes any difference... good to know others have seen it too!

I've had 4.42kw from my 4.29kw set but only briefly when the battery is charging.
Once charged mines clipped at 3.68kw.
I've thought about holding my battery charge until later in the day so I can get more yield but you just can't pin those clouds down.4.3kwp JA panels, Huawei 3.68kw Hybrid inverter, Huawei 10kw Lunar 2000 battery, Myenergi eddi, South facing array with a 15 degree roof pitch, winter shade.0 -

If its a rubbish day i take off the limit as i dont want to miss out on charging if there is only a short bout of sunshine0 -
I limit my battery's charging rate down to 5% in the morning if a good day is forecast. I can then up the % as the system starts clipping and squeeze a bit more out.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

I set the max charge of the batteries to 95% so that there is always a bit of spare capacity to prevent clipping.
