American Airlines Mastercard Deal

I booked a return flight MAN to JFK back in July and am due to travel next week. I was charged in August for £267.80 - a good deal and the cheapest I can find considering that I'm going to travel during xmas holiday season.

I just checked my account on AA.com today to print out my receipt and itinerary. It says in the receipt that the ticket price was £160.10 not £267.80.

I don't understand why the price is different on the e-ticket from what I've actually paid? Should I ring up AA and ask for a refund (that's £100 worth, folks!)? Does anybody experience a similar thing like this when using this deal?

  • I'm guessing the extra is all taxes and charges.

I'm flying to JFK from Heathrow next week and paying £108 each return for the fare!
  • in the receipt it says:

    fare 108.00 GBP
    taxes 52.10 GBP
    total 160.10 GBP

there's no other explanation for extra charges, etc.

has anyone travelled using this deal?
